Trailer bearings and race shot, any ideas?

 I know this should be a no-brainer, replace the bearing and race or just get a new hub. Not that easy.

 The trailer in question was built by myself starting with an old camper. I tore off the shell, reenforced the frame and installed a wooden deck. Its a 2 axle (axles are old dexter 3500lb axles with the Dexstar wheels) front axle has elec brakes. rear axle is just a plain hub. One of the rear hubs had a rough bearing. Once removed i find that the larger inner bearing is bad, the bearing race is pitted as well. UGH! I need this trailer to haul our motorcycles on an upcoming trip to Florida, about 2500 miles round trip. I contacted etrailer and have had no luck as of yet. Kind of hitting a wall here, we leave in 15 days.

 Anyone have an old camper sitting out back? LOL

 any thoughts?

 This is the hub.

 I believe they were a 4-9.44 hub meaning 4 bolt, 9.44 bolt circle. old school stuff. lol

 Might have found a replacement hub. It won't be the same, it's a modern 5 lug, just have to pull the old one off and measure the spindle to make sure it'll fit.

Can you remove the bad race and find the numbers on it?

 @IBMobile I'm not 100% sure it comes out. The camper that the trailer was made from was from the late 60's I think.

 I can try to remove if if you think it will come out. I thought it was a permanent part of the casting?

Clean the area really well where the race would be pressed into the hub.  If it looks like the race is pressed in, a thin line between the race and the hub, then try beating it out with a hammer and a long drift.

 I tried that. I still could tell. Maybe I'll clean it up again and take a hi res pic and zoom in. My eyes are getting old. Lol

Yeah typically it's just pressed in. Just like @IBMobile said long drift and a fairly good sized hammer. It should come out. If it's been in awhile you might have to warm it up a bit with a propane torch to gain a bit of room get the race out.

 With it being so old I didnt know if it was a press in or if it was just machined into the casting.

If it machined then a whole hub would be replaced. Really have a hard time seeing that being the race would have to be harded metal.

 Same here but just not sure how they did things back then. The frame it was built on was from the late 60's if I recall. 

 If it ever stops raining I'll get out there and pull it apart again.

 Ok, after closer inspection the bearing cups were removable. I removed both inner and outer cups, bearings and seal. Ordered all new. Should have the new parts on Tuesday.

Figured as much. Now the waiting game to get the parts. Hurry up and wait.

New parts arrived today, put it all back together and all is well. Crisis averted. lol I also installed the battery and wired in the breakaway switch and added the 12v power wire to the 7-way to keep the battery charged.
