Power Steering Pump

Recommended Posts

Having a heck of a time finding the right oring for the pressure line that screws into the bottom of the pump. The one they sent is to small. It slides over the tube and the nut pushes against the tube into the pump. If I make any sense.
I came across doorman part number 926-157. I hate to keep throwing the credit card at it and coming up with all sorts of orings. I would buy a set of orings but my luck it would have everything in it but the right one.
Any help would be great.

Does the hose fitting look like this?  If so, the o-ring slides up against the flare.  The nut seats the flare for metal to metal contact.  The o-ring gets about 10% compression for a positive seal.  You probably have the correct o-ring.

You could be over thinking it....,

LOL... I've got a o-ring kit sitting in Thor and just grab one and place it on the tip of the steel line and then screw it in. I never order a o-ring for just the power steering system. Oh where did I get that at? Amazon order a o-ring kit of all the common sizes and thats all. $20 dollars for a full kit of o-rings.
