Coming into Rainier this morning the truck wouldn't idle down and I was heading for Castle Rock and then the truck hiccuped and backfired at exit 46 so I turned around to head home and now it went into complete limp mode only partial throttle and then now no throttle and the code is saying ECM failure. I disconnected my adrenaline and tried running the truck and it has the same code and it still has no throttle. Now I'm stuck by tractor supply in kelso waiting for AAA to take me home. I just had a local shop in Scappoose install a  rebuilt engine about 500 miles ago and I'm sure there's is a total coincidence that this is happening now but it's just one thing after another with these old trucks. I usually do all my own work and I have had a computer go bad before and it was a horrible ordeal with the dealership trying to get one reflashed because they kept trying to reflash from my broken computer and screwing up the new blank computer.

Can you check your error codes using the key trick by chance? I want to know if there is any codes like P0606.

P0606 the smarty said failed ECM and here are the rest of all the P codes

0113

0118

0121

0122

0123

1740

1291

1693

1690

I got her towed home now I'm going to look and see if flagship one has an ECM.

I just use the smarty to read codes. I have a separate little standalone controller that sets my tire size for the speedometer. And then I use the quadzilla tapped for power. I also have a 4K quadzilla that I run sometimes too.

This is why I created the vendor listing then there is another article that we hunted for good ECM/PCM rebuilders. You are welcome!

I have heard people blaming the quadzilla for taking out the ECM. Is there any truth to this. Should I send my adrenaline in full repair to have it checked to make sure didn't contribute to the ECM failure. I have bought new battery cables that I haven't installed yet and I have been running with poor fitting grounds for a while now. I'm definitely changing out all the cables before I put the new computer in.

Nope. Quadzilla is not to blame being mine is close to 10 years old. My factory ECM has 495k miles never failed yet.

AC noise issues kill the ECM we have the W-T ground wire mod which solves the failure.
