I like to use Purple Power you can find it at most auto parts stores and is very cheap. The first time I used it I found parts on the truck I din't know were black:2cents:

Oven cleaner works well for greasy spots.:thumb1:

Just be aware that if you got loose paint or bare aluminum it will do strange things... The paint it will remove any old paint rather quickly with just a garden hose to rinse. Then as for the bare aluminum is will blacken the aluminum...

Which is really handy on old engines where you want to strip to bare metal.:thumb1:

my miracle cleaner: Here's a semi-before pic. It was actually a LOT dirtier than this. This is after Simple Green.. And here's after KrudKutter (air intake back on, as well)

Simple Green is the ticket for maintaing a clean bay. Wont etch your polished stuff either.If you want to get real down to it, take your pressure washer and get the wet sandblasting attachment.instead of sand, run granulated laundry soap through it. Cleanest engine parts and pieces ever..with no fear of residual abrasive since its water soluble :)
