No horn ...

Did a search, and was able to see a wiring diagram for an '02 (mine's an '02)...Checked the 20a fuse, and it's good.What would the probable problem be? Where to look?Thank you, Greg

First, check the horn itself, verify that it actually works. Then check for power at the wire harness at the horn. If nothing there, work your way back to the column.....

There is also a relay in the PDC for the horn. You can swap one of the other relays in its place and see if it is relay.

Fuse, Relay, clockspring, etc... Might even check and see if the horn actually functions hooked directly to the battery. I've seen horns fail this way too.

Sorry for the old thread ..... checked horns, relay and fuse ..... all ok

Clockspring is broken.  Here's the 'eyeopener' ....... Mopar clockspring $358.44 + 12% tax    =   $401.45

Mopar partsman sells an aftermarket clockspring $129.50 + 12% tax   =   $145.04

 

Any of you fellas had any issues with an aftermarket spring?

Kinda' pricey!

I am running one from NAPA that only cost like $25 IIRC, I bought like 4 years ago. Rock auto has them for $30 to $125.

I agree. Just go aftermarket. Most of the time you can find good quality stuff for literally a fraction of the cost.
