Hey, dually guys... tire pressure/checking

I've got 16" steelies with stainless simulators. I cannot fit my fat hand in there to remove the stem cap and check pressures on the outers, let alone the inners..What do you guys do to ease this process? What pressures do you run all around, loaded and empty?

get an extended valve stem cap remover, and a long stemmed air chuck. in a pinch, a piece of 3/8ths rubber hose might have enough 'bite' to remove the cap... I run treadwrights on the dually, and am running 65-80 (unloaded-loaded).. I had my 5 yo daughter take all my caps off until I got the cap remover. Ahem, make dang sure you line-up the valve stems when you install new tires!:ashamed: It's not very fun when the inner valve stem is directly under the outer's spoke!

I use to run stem extenders on the 1976 Dodge motorhome I use to own. I actually drilled a hole and and mounted the stem extenders to the rim instead of the clamp system it came with I found the stem spun off and caught between the tires a few times. Then at the very end before I gave up on the old beast the stem extenders were not holding air any longer and leaking. So if you use these be sure to keep an eye on the inner duals because its possible to not notice the inner dual has gone flat.

I installed them today then took them back off. 135* stems on outers, 4" extensions on the inners. Once the simulator was reinstalled, I still couldn't check them due to the simulator design, so I took em back off Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
