What browser are you running? I have FireFox and have several tracker blockers running and an ad blocker so I don't see 99% of that crap.

Firefox here too...

  • Ad Block Plus
  • No Script
  • Better Privacy
  • Click & Clean

Works like magic no spam emails, no ad banners  form places I've been, no popup windows, no tracking from Youtube and clean the browser up with one click. I love visiting CF without logging in to the site because even then the site is completely stripped of all ads and popups.

Will, just click on the Firefox button and go to Add-ons From there you can search what you want and it is real easy to install them. I have

BaJa Ad Blocker 1.1

DoNotTrackMe: 3.2.1083

Ads Removal 1.0.0

Those three keep just about everything off. Do Not Track Me will even tell you what is trying to track you on any page you go to.

Firefox finalllllllllly updated to a completely new design.  I use it at work for some reason and now its actually worth looking at.  I hated the stupid stock kindergarten look it had for the last decade.  Still keeping it off all my personal computers though   Opera all the way.

Actually FireFox has that Internet Explorer and Google Chrome look now.

As for the plugin for FireFox either batch should work. Mine I get from a article over on Ubuntu Forums about security.

I know this is Ubuntu Linux but the FireFox Browser is the same thing... Worth at least reading over it.

Forward back buttons look like old IE style and the rounded tabs looks like Chrome. Then all the icon pile up on the right looks like another IE9 thing.

Michael, your Firefox is a lot different than mine. I am running version 28, what version are you running?

My work computer is on windows... same new style 29.  It is chrome-like and that is what I like.  Before it just looked like crayola designed it.  I like high end professional looking graphic interface.  MercedesAMG website is very fancy.  Most websites are sticking to tradition since everyone hates change.  I hated windows 8, now I hate windows 7.   Bring on the changes.

MnTom Windows is too slow to keep up to date.

Just updated to the next level (29) and I DON'T LIKE IT. I should have left it alone.

Why would they want it to look like IE and Chrome? If they are going to make FF the same the should just close the doors far as I am concerned.

edit: I just tried that Theme Restorer and it made it somewhat like it was, but the controls on the right side were still there so I disabled it and am going to try the version 29.

It's that sleek look they are going for.  It is sleeker than IE and chrome.  "Tabbed browsing" is really all thats similar and its been that way for years, its just a matter of how they portray it.  But the menu hiding thing is turning into the current trend to maximize window space.  Opera did it long ago and I hated it but you might figure out you never use any of those buttons, its just harder to find when you do want them.  Once you remember how to get to them then you will start to like it.
