Hi everyone I am currently working in Afghanistan as a contractor with Oshkosh .I will be home in 3 months and may take my 98 ford f-800 service truck ( with the 12 valve cummins) to Texas or N. Dakota to work the gas fields .After a break of course. Your forum has been a great help with diagnostics on the cat c-7 in these up armored vehicles which use the heui fuel pump and similar electronics as my 2001 dodge cummins.I am looking forward to being a member of this stand up group.fldmech1Durango Co

Are there any injection pump rebuilders on here? what is the best way to go on rebuilding or going new on injection pumps I know the less expensive is the rebuild. I don't get on here much because i am working most of the time.

Hey everyone - :cheers:I learned about this site though MoparMan's posts on the Cummins Forum and came over to check it out. I've found lots of information I was looking for, so thank you to those who post helpful info.I'm from Massachusetts (others prefer the term Masshole but we're not all like that ). I have relatives out there in Idaho but not sure what towns they live in now. Not new to diesels (06 and 08 Duramax) but this is my first Cummins and feel I may have bitten off a bit too much. By the time I'm done, I feel as if I'm restoring an antique show car rather than a daily driver lol.My truck has been having an issue with not shifting properly and/or not accel…

Hello all! New forum member here. I hail from the great North of Idaho. Finally had to stop lurking around and get involved! Great wealth of info for me that suit my needs! I'm also on cumminsforum, but it seems many of those guys are into the HP/TQ than just making a stout reliable truck. I'll be posting up on the 2nd gen 24v forum if some of you guys can help me out with a couple things.. Thanks in advance and I hope I can get to know everyone!

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. Have already posted a question or two and appreciate the help received from this forum. I am fairly new to the Diesel world but I have been tinkering with cars, motorcycles and trucks since I was old enough to hold a wrench. So from the state with great bourbon, fast horses and beautiful women a great big "HOWDY" goes out to everybody!!

Hello, everyone! I ve been a lurker here for a while and figured i have some good input to share and input to learn from by others. I bought my 2001 cummins 3 years ago, since then i have done alot of work to it including vp44 failure (no hot start) that happened right when i started researching failure points on the truck. I spent 6 hours replacing it, the lift pump and installed an edge juice. It now runs the raptor 150 lift pump, and i have had zero problems since. This site also started me on using 2 stroke oil for lube and it actually made a bit of difference. I have been wrenching as a hobby/desire to save money by doing it myself since i was 5 or so…

Hi everyone. My name is Russ, I'm in central Pennsylvania. I currently do not have a cummins, or any truck for that matter. But I am in the market for a new truck. I have always liked the sound, performance, mileage, and durability of diesel trucks. Right now I just doing research to see what I want, I'm thinking 99-02 2500 4x4 with manual trans.

northbound on US 95 through New Meadows ID when I lost the serpentine belt ('93 F250 7.3L) right in front of this here webmaster's doorstep. I wandered up to his front door a frustrated and slightly broken man and was made welcome. Mike (mopar1973man) opened his home and his garage to my troubles and gave me valuable assistance. Unfortunately, a simple garage on the side of the highway far from any OEM distributor or machine shop could solve my troubles in a timely manner (sheared bolt on the tensioner pulley) and I had to phone in a couple favors to haul me and my wreck away. On the bright side I have my own semi truck ('04 IHC 9400i Cummins ISX Meritor 10 speed Rockwell…
