I have used the forum since I've owned a diesel to figure out the problem and little aggravating quirks that my trucks have. I am now in a position where I think that I may be able to be active enough in a forum to be a member, which is why I have waited so long to join. So, that is about it, I am in the middle of tracking down a wiring problem on my 2001 2500 4x4, so I have to run, but will be lurking around quite often.Rgds,CB

Hello All, I've been hanging around here for a while but just joined in November. I have been an industrial electrician for 36 years (Yikes!) doing everything from construction to machine controls to electronics. It never gets old. My wife and I have been married for 39 years. Yikes again!!, and we have two adult children and grandkids which of course is the best part. Getting ready to give the truck in my signature a makeover. Just picked up an iquadBT during the Black Friday sales which will be getting installed soon. I will set it to fuel saving for now with no wiretap initially as I need to do some upgrades to the transmiss…

Hey all, I am from the north eastern ohio area. Right outside of Akron, pretty close to Wooster. Just traded one of my Powerstrokes for a 2001 Dodge 2500 with the 5.9 and 6speed. Really like it so far. The guy I got it from was not the most honest guy in the world but so far the truck seems pretty solid minus some minor problems. Looks like a pretty decent forum here, hope to learn more about these trucks!

I've been a member for a while now, but I'm not one of the computer savy folks so I haven't done much but read. I have a 2001 Dodge 3500 dually 5 speed. It quit on me about 3 months ago...just died like you turned off the key. I figured It was electrical...but started checking the fuel first and for the record I knew nothing going In about the electrical system on this truck and not much about the fuel system. At any rate I found metal In the fuel/water filter and then realized that the lift pump was bad...or at best going bad. I bought a Raptor pump to install by the filter then realized that this truck had been retro fitted by Dodge with a tank pump. I pulled the tank a…

Hi allI just found this Dodge forum and am anxious to learn more about my common rail. My 2004.5 qclb 4x4 replaced my 2001.5 2500 4x4 qcsb last summer with both being autos. We pull a 22 ft K2 bumper pull toy hauler loaded with our Polaris RZR. So far we've only made one 1800 mile trip to Utah and back and was very pleased with the performance and 11 mpg average, besting the old truck by 1 mpg but around town is not so good running between 11-14. But as I usually just use it for towing it doesn't matter much, I'd rather do better towing. Gerry

Just got back in the Cummins program. I’ve owned a couple , years ago , but as pickups go sometimes, they weren’t around long enough to get very familiar. Just got a 2001 4x4 bone stock Quad Cab. Pretty excited about fixing this thing up and having a good dependable ride under me for many yrs. I’ve worked with diesels most of my life ,so I’m not totally ignorant. Thanks

Bob here from the Midwest USA. I recently traded my Bobsled (2011 Challenger RT 6 speed car) for a nice clean 2000 Ram 2500. The Challenger was fun in town, but now I live in the sticks and as fun as it was, I couldn't make it of the 1/4 mile lane to the mile of unkept county roads in the sled, not to mention being attacked by rocks the entire way to pavement, if I made it to pavement. This is my first Cummings powered truck, have owned over a dozen 70's Power Wagons and Ramchargers, and one 2005 F-250 6.0 liter SD. I must say that I am overly impressed by my new to me Dodge. I have been a Mopar guy since childhood, owning numerous Challengers, Barracuda's, both small blo…

Didn't even catch that there was a forum on here when I was looking at the write ups.I drive a 98 12v with some goodies, it did a disappointing 45Xhp and 939tq but "should" (I use that loosely) do much better next go around. Hopefully she will be under her own power soon. Most expensive driveway ornament I have ever had....
