Last year the boss bought two '13 Dodge cab and chassis trucks. I ended up with one of them and the boss has the other. My truck has been trouble free so far, but his has been to the dealership twice so far for def problems. Both times it has been due to the wiring harness being ripped out, if you see the country we drive in you would understand. Is there any fix to the def problem on a 2013 truck? They are both stock, base models, 4X4, manual trans, even hand crank windows. He will not want to add power, he just wants to not go into limp mode 100 miles from town. Other than stop being so abusive to the truck, any advice. Thank you.

My hunting buddy just bought a 2014 diesel megacab. He's trading in a 1996 ford 7.3 diesel. Still costing about $50,000. Too rich for my blood. I like tinkering with my 2nd gen truck. Besides, hard to imagine a $50,000 work truck. Hope he's not disappointed. Any issues with these trucks?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone of you can answer a simple question! As you may know, I have a Jeep crd diesel. It's pumped with a cp3 for it's common rail. anyways, there is a heck of a battle on lostjeeps.com about whether or not to 'time' the injection pump during timing belt r+r. ......... some say, rail pressure is rail pressure... others say they want to 'time' the impulse to injector pulses. Which brings me to this point! Are the cp3's a compounding pump, whereas each of the 3 plungers feeds the next one to build up pressure... or are they singly supplying the rail? are these pumps set up so there is 1 revolution of pump per 1 revolution of engine? …

  6. DODGE 2012 HO CUMMINS Hello everyone. It appears the forums are not as busy as they once were. I was hoping to create this forum for owners of the 2012 Dodge 6.7 HO. I believe this will be a good place for owners of this rig to share tips, tricks, service manual links or anything else related to this year specifically. 2012 HO, 4x4 4:10 gears, auto.

Ok need a little advice. Currently own a 2002 Dodge diesel HO 2500 4x4. I am 58 and planning on retiring @ 62. I want to buy my last truck and get it paid for before I retire. Don't haul a lot ,but every summer we load up the cab over camper and hook up a trailer to haul a couple of four wheelers for a month in Montana. Have a friend who I will 2 or 3 times a year help haul hay 32' trailer with 300 square bales I have a 20' bass boat that I pull to the lake every 2 months or so. 90% of the time I put less than a 80 miles a week on my truck. I am looking at a 2014 2500 4x4 Tradesman crew cab with the 6.7 6 speed automatic (68 RFE). May end up with toy hauler after retirin…

Has anyone changed out a CCV filter? My overhead console keeps saying service required see dealer now. Had them check when truck was at performance shop and they said that the code relates to that filter. I have one ordered from cummins and it should be here Thursday. Is it hard to change? How often to change? Hopefully not often at $80 a filter plus shipping.

Well gang the wife made me sell out sort of lol. I sold my 2002 for $11000. Only way she would let me get a new truck was if she could drive it. Needless to say I had to buy an auto tranny. Got a 2008 3500 4x4 and gave $26000. Is this a good price? I have already carried it to the shop and had a good bit of work done to it. DPF delete, 5in straight pipe, shut down the EGR cooler but did not delete, and had it tuned on efilive. Any other things I should do?

Hey gang...Does anyone have any secrets to the ABS on the 2008 Dodge? What I got is the Fire Chief with his truck where the ABS pump is actually pumping up the brakes till they are smoking without ever touching the brake pedal. He's only got about 59k on the clock. Dealer is over 100 miles away and they want it to look at. But he want to just fix the issue with the long journey. So so anyone got some clues for my Chief?

Has anyone seen a P2563 code thrown on a 08 Dodge Cummins? My truck just threw it last night and from what I can find out it looks like a GM code relating to the Turbo. I have had the P2579 code about a month ago as well. Any thing I need to do here to protect the Turbo?

So today myself and my father was at a diesel station filling up the truck in my sig when a 2013 dodge CC Dually cummins 6spd was coming down the road gearing down the truck obviously was stright piped. Truck sounded great and looked amazing till that horrible VGT-turbo jet sound blared out the exhaust pipe. My dad thought the brake's were squealing on it till i told him about the VGT's ( Man is out of his element with diesel's lol Gasser through and through). In his word's "it sounded like a powderchoke or Duralax not like a Cummin's and i won't buy one if they gotta sound like that mess." So i have it in my plan's to buy a used 2013 next year but if that is what they wi…
