I bought a Trinity T1000 for my 03 ram 2500, to save a few MPG and change the parameters for tire size, and I just found out that the T1000 can not do it. Is there any tuner/programmer that will change tire size paramters of a 03 or is this hopeless? Thanks for the advice!

  4. In talking to a guy that, seems to know the electrical system on these trucks inside and out. The topic of having to have 2 new starters in 4 months time. His opinion was that:#1 rebuilt starters from Bosch are junk and will fail in short order.#2 if you change a neutral safety switch or put in a new starter, there is a relay that must be changed as well.Anybody ever heard of this? Claims that without changing this relay, the problem will return.

Anyone on here run the quadzilla adrenaline on their 03-04.5? I'm having a couple of issues with mine that Jeremy is trying to help me iron out, but I haven't ran into anyone else who's running this.

Ok I got my trany temp hooked up to my Mag Hytec pan and yea I know it's in the pan but hey. So I hook up to my 32' goose neck 7k empty and head out to pick up a load of drill stem for a fence I am building. I am about 20 miles into this and the temp is still at 100 so I pull over and check the wire and it's good to go, so I feel the pan and it's not hot so probably 100 degree. I get back in and it's up to 105 I get to where I am going and it's still 105, I set there and idle and it goes up to 150 just idleing for maybe 10 min. Get loaded with 25 32' joints maybe 4500 lbs and it comes down to 125 and stay's there all the 30 miles back. Idle in drive while I unload and it'…

Truck has about 125k. Items done to date;scan tool indicated erratic signal so Changed sensor, pushed cam gear back onto camshaft, yes cam had .125 end thrust, computer was checked by Cummins , bad wire splice for cam sensor in motor harness re-soldered and checked to pin connector. valves adjusted found bent pushrod and replaced, new cam sensor connector installed. Just about to push this thing into the bushes.. now the latest mech. who has worked for dodge since desoto says needs injectors. any thoughtsthanks

I am in the process of installing gauges for egt, boost pressure and trans temp. My question is where to pick up the electrical connections for power and a switchable source. Also need to pick up a source that works with the dimmer. Thanks

I hear people say they run there smarty on 3 or 4 with timing. I also here people talking about the Smarty Jr. and run it on 3, so what's the diff. between the two. If I got one it would be for fuel mileage and pulling with my auto trans. I really like the all natural Hp of inj. and cam but just checking the options.

  13. Coming home from a trip to the beach yesterday and had to ride the last 45 miles in the cab of the flatbed. Grrr... 2004 (early) Ram 2500 stickshift 2wd with no mods. Cruise control was set at about 80mph and truck lost power. Shut off the cruise, put the clutch in, long pedal gave no response except the truck sort of chugging & fluttering. Limped it to the shoulder in neutral. 85,000 miles on the clock as of yesterday morning. It's still the stock lift pump, and now when I bump the starter, the lift pump whirr that I used to hear is gone. Only thing I hear is that ticking noise from whatever that is. Starter turns the motor but it won't even hint that it's try…

  15. After I changed the neutral safety switch on the transmission the problem went away, for a bit, but is now back worse than before. To get it to start all I have to do is put it in neutral and just lightly pull up on the shift lever, and she cranks right up.I looked under the truck last night and wiggled the wiring, the switch and the shift cable to see if anything was loose or broken. Everything looks / feels OK. Looked under the dash and there looks like there is another switch under there. Anybody know what that switch is?

my truck threw the codes p2121 and p2122. Now it is back to acting fine, I dont really want to get stranded anywhere again so should I just order the sensor? And whats the deal with someplaces you get the whole bracket with sensor already in it, but other places you just get the sensor and you might have to calibrate it. The price difference is huge but which would be better?

  17. Just got an email update from Edge. They have just released a software upgrade for their CS and CTS Insight guage monitor. It will enable data logging on up to 10 different parameters and it will also allow your Edge to control your Smarty PoD features from the Edge monitor. http://mv.treehousei.com/Public/Online.aspx?msgId=7a8ca451-5c63-d995-f780-a0b401715039 This sounds like a very cool set of features. I am looking forward to downloading this new software and learning more about it.

I just got this truck about a month ago, and about a week and a half ago, I dropped a valve seat in cylinder #1 and ate up the piston a little.. So now its rebuild time again, previous owner already rebuilt it 100k miles ago.How much is the average hone for these motors? My buddy that helped me pull the head yesterday is a diesel tech, said if moneys tight I can just hone out cylinder #1 and replace the piston and should be fine, is that true?, with all new gaskets etc. I seen a .040 over rebuild kit on pure diesel performance with mahle pistons, everything I believe sept the wrist pins for $1400My buddy will be helping me rebuild it, if I don't move by time I get the fund…

Took my truck in for new tires, the dealer smashed the caliper when beating the wheels off, and now wants me to pay him $1400 for a brake job. - - - Updated - - - Hit post too quickly. Kicker is, he said the "brakes fell off the truck in the parking lot as we were driving it into the bay"

  20. Other years will be similar, major point of contention would be the orientation of the belt tensioner. Try to do it without removing anything but the belt and pump will take hours, and volumes of language not fit for Human consumption. 1) Get under truck on passanger side with a 1/2 inch long handle ratchet, not a breaker bar (head too thick). Insert the drive square on the ratchet into the belt tensioners preformed indention for the 1/2 inch square. Use the ratchet to pull the belt tensioner towards the ground. While holding the tensioner in this position take the belt off the the A/C pully. Return the tensioner to it's relaxed position, by reducing pressure o…
