  2. I have a 98.5 24 valve cummins, somtimes when I start up I can barely touch the accelerator pedal and its acts like I held the thing wide open. Then I can shut it off and start back up and its back to normal. It doesnt happen at a particular time it is as random as anything. It is really driving me crazy.

  3. Just got my truck back two days ago from tranny rebuild. I went to pull out with trailer today and make around 25 miles to fuel station. Tranny temp @ 195*, gears are not catching when putting into D,3,2,1 or R. I shut the truck off and turn it back on and it would make it maybe twenty ft before doing it again. I searched for codes and received the P0500 can this have anything to do with the tranny issue? I know what the code stands for. Thanks for any help

Ok so the other day i took my 01 2500 apart to install new ball joints. I took the brake lines off the calipers to give myself more room to work and when i went to reinstall everything went smoothly. I bled the lines i have full pressure coming from all 4 calipers. I cannot get any foot pressure. I tryed a "new/used" Hydroboost and it was not the problem. I am out of ideas and cannot get the pedal to hold pressure. I start it and try to move it doesnt grab till the very bottom and not to much. ` I think there could be air trapped in the abs sensor? I have no idea any help would be great. Thanks in Advance!!!!!!!

  6. Wow! That was easier than nailing jello to a tree! I just completed do my first VP44 install. To tell you the truth its easy as hell to do and takes just about 3-4 hours to do it taking your time. I will be updating my orignal VP44 install write up in the near future. There is a few notes and shortcut I found to make the install much easier. Sad part is I didn't grab my camera... (Should of!)

The 2kreeks hauler has been missing at hiway speeds 'cruise 50/65 mph' every other speed is ok. If truck is acelerating no problem, pulling hard 10k up everything nornmal. The lift pump was replaced approx 3500 miles with a generic AIRTEX BRAND. This was replaced during a oil change when I found out the new carter was starting to fail. Now with new instruments the fuel pressure at idle is 21.5lbs and wot is 16lbs. My basic idle time is approx 5mins and some time more depending on how long of pull and how heavy..Does this high of fuel pressure hurt the vp44?Could this high of fuel pressure cause the missing?Only codes showing with key trip, is 1693 which was left…

3 Questions: 1. I looked at the Pricol Optix 2" Fuel Pressure Gauge (Elec) 0.30 PSI (BLK) on Geno's Website. Is this what I need to safely monitor my fuel pressure? 2. Is there a less expensive gauge that would serve the purpose? 3. I have a test gauge that came with the installation of my Banks P/P. Where do I find the fitting to connect it to check my pressure? ThanksOld Fart Non-MotorHead

Ok now, so I finally got my Pod mount and my Pricol Gauges after quite some delay from GOS performance.....although I had to wait, they were good to deal with and answered my questions about the order promptly. Thanks MoparMan for the GOS referral. :thumbsup Now for the installation process. There were no specific instructions on installation, and I thought I had seen a thread for that on this board? Can anyone point me in the right direction for a clean install of the pod and gauges. Thanks Randy

Hey,I'm thinking I need to set my valves on my truck sometime soon, but I have a few questions.1. Are the valves set hot or cold???2. Does the valve cover gasket have to be replaced??? Or is it reusable?? It cost $133 from O'Reilly's!!3. Do you just set the engine to TDC on any cylinder or does it have to be #1?? Then you just rotate 180 to BDC... that's right??I've set a lot of valves on VWs, but they are different as you turn the engine to every cylinder! Thanks,Winslow

I would like to "lock out" the T C on my 2000 CTD at times after warmup, around town, If this sounds unusual let me explain why.I have rebuilt the trans w/heavy duty parts, bands, shift kit ect, and an aftermarket HD Torque Converter, a TCS Converter I believe? When I ordered the TC, t he fellow I spoke with told me I needed a T C that locked up at a lower rpm than stock. Being a novice I said "OK". This now seems to be an issue especially around town when warm, and towing on hilly terrain. The trans does not want to unlock and shift down on hills until it is to late, and then slams out of lock up and downshifts hard and then back up to high gear and sometimes back and for…

  18. I just recently installed a power puck on my 2001 Ram...WOW!! what a difference! Frankly its all I need, or can afford. I have however been looking at a lot of posts about smoke switches. There seem to be two different wiring diagrams, One simply jumpers (through a SPST switch) the +5v. to the signal wire, the other seems to say that you need to bypass the fueler box (Edge, Quadzilla...). Does the Power puck qualify as a fueler box, or is more of a glorified boost fooler, and does it need to be bypassed? I've also seen some posts suggesting you wire a 10 ohm, 10 watt, resistor into the jumper wire/switch. has anyone considered installing a rheostat in place of the …
