Anyone running these guages? A buddy of mine just boughta 01 Cummins and hadn't a clue about the VP issues, I told him to get a guage on soon as he could. He sent me a link to these asking an opinion. I was wondering if a three set up of fuel, boost and pyro comes with everything as in probes etc that you need? http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/98-02-dodge-ram-w-speaker-custom-gauge-package.aspx

Not sure wether I want to go with FASS or AirDog lift pump, but with either one do you have to drop the fuel tank or pull the bed?

Hey guys, new on this forum, came across it at dodge cummins forum. I have an 01 with 5" exhaust, air intake, 150 injectors, edge juice with hot unlock, and an Airdog 165 on its way. This truck came with an inline pump plus it still has factory one hooked up, ran about 23 lbs pressure. Few weeks ago, the inline pump went and disabled the factory pump too. I drove the truck for about 2.5 miles with 0 fuel pressure to get home, where I disconnected the aux pump and got factory one running. Truck ran fine then with 15 lbs as long as you kept the foot out of her. Couple days ago, truck started stalling when you would go from forward to reverse, then got worse and would stall …

According to this TSB http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/high-idle/tsb18-019-01.htm This can be enabled, I am not sure it applies to the Freightliner though? I might give Cummins North East a call on Monday, and see if the could perform this flash to my ECM? I never heard of it, until it was mentioned on CF.

My buddy asked me if i knew of a product that would help him, and his transmission have better performance. He is having problems with his truck burning out, and said there is some kind of load management system on our transmissions that doesnt allow us to rev up enough to light them up. I heard advertisemnts of top speed eliminators and a smarty doing something for the tranny, but i dont exactly know what they do for it. Does anybody got a clue on this subject. Thanks for the info!!!

I had intermittent dead throttle which was getting worse. In Dec. I ordered a rebuilt vp44 from Midwest. Installed pump. Tried everything to get it to pump. Cranked for days with all injector lines cracked, 3 cracked, 1 cracked -- every configuration you could think of. Checked connections. Lots of fuel at input to pump. Running in-tank and stock pumps. Consulted here, justanswer, etc. Conclusion bad pump. Returned to Midwest and got replacement. Replacement no better. No fuel to output side of pump. Obviously nothing at injector lines. Lots of fuel at inlet. Nothing from return. Do I have really bad luck with pumps? And have gotten two bad rebuilt ones? …

Well the past couple of days my pressure started out at 13 then it went upto its usual 17. Once driving it, it would drop 4 or 5 psi! :wow:I change my fuel filter at every oil change, it was time to do it. Put the new filter in and it is right back to the steady 17 psi. Now I see how people kill their VP when the lift pump goes out and they don't have a pressure gauge!

I have the stock lift pump mounted to the block. The lift pump will only run for about 1/2 sec. when the key is turn on, when I bump the starter the lp won't run, I tested the voltage at the plug to the lift pump, reads 8 volts.Anybody have any ideas? thanks for the help....

I have an 01 Cummins and in the mornings down here in Florida when I start the truck up it idles rough and smokes for awhile. Any clues. Ive changed the cam sensor and filters. The fuel pressure guage says @ idle the truck has 17-18 psi. When i plug the motor in for the night and crank it the next morning the truck doesnt run rough, but without it , it runs rough??? I deleted the grid heater years ago but, this just started acting up. I dont think its because i dont have my grid heater in. Maybe the 110 BD injectors I put in the truck 4-5 years ago are clogged maybe?? how do you check them?? :ahhh:Got any clues?? Any info would be greatlly appreciatted!!!

Hello again,I noticed the 2-3 inch rubber line from my hydroboost is starting to split. Is this high pressure hose or what is recommended to replace it? Thanks

  13. Hey Guys, I installed my Raptor 150 pump the other day. Pretty easy and good instructions to boot. I have everything wired up the right way, however when I turn the key forward I still hear a gooosh, almost like something purging itself. I always thought that was the stock lift pump. I called the place I got the raptor from and the guy said I should not hear the old lift pump. Are there other electronics hooked up to the lift pump besides the Deutsch two prong connector? Should I remove the lift pump from the side of the block? Thanks

Ok so I replaced My vss on my rear axle today now my abs/brake lights stay on! Even after resetting computer by unplugging batts for 30 mins. Any ideas? Thanks a ton.

  17. Today I went to Tractor Supply Center to pickup some scratch feed for the chickens and notice they had their "Travelers" house brand 15W-40 Diesel Heavy Duty Motor Oil in the 2 1/2 gallon containers on the clearance shelf for $14.99. By my stubby pencil math, that comes to a $1.49 per quart. They had 9 2 1/2 gallon containers left on the shelf. Yours truly scarfed em all! I think 22.5 gallons of oil should hold me for awhile.

  18. Without stirring up a fuel pump debate, where is best price to find an OEM lift pump? Thanks. Also, can I safely use the following oils from Sam's Club:1. Delo 15W40 API CJ-42. Mobil Delvac 1300 super 15W40 also same API ratingsThanks.

When I install my big line kit from FF to VP, and if I keep my pressure gauge tapped at the fuel filter test port, will the increased fuel line size result in more pressure at the VP inlet that I won't be able to see on my gauge because it's mounted at the fuel filter test port. Just curious. Thanks.

I was wondering what all you guys with outerwares on your bhaf's do to clean them? I was just gonna wash it out with some water, let it dry, and put it back on. Is this correct?
