Finally moving my Raptor FRRP to the frame rail. Using the Vulcan mounting bracket. Does it matter which direction the pump hangs? Not meaning vertical vs horizontal, but can the bracket be flipped so the pump “rests” on the bracket as opposed to hangs from it?

  10. After mentioning last week that my truck leaks like a sieve, that bugged me all weekend to the point I want to get it handled before "someday", but have some questions. Is it worth the time and effort to change the pan gasket knowing full well that my front seal needs to be changed, too? While best to do both at the same time, I'm sure, I'm also willing to do the pan twice if dropping the pan isn't a massive endeavor. Is dropping the pan a big endeavor? I've dropped some pans in my day, even changed out all the bearings from the bottom before - but never on an engine so tight to the cross member. (think a gas big block in a 3-ton truck) Regardless of…

  11. What is a good, economical means to return the fuel to the general tank versus returning directly to the basket? Can a guy splice a tee into the filler neck VENT? Should I obtain the Airdog/Fass style tee that goes in the ACTUAL filler neck hose? I'd prefer something where I don't have to drop the tank. I bought a 3-way ball valve so I can seasonally return to the basket in winter, or to the tank in the summer. It's ~75 degrees here this morning, and by the end of my 23 mile commute the fuel was over 120 degrees running empty at 65-70 mph for most of that time. Fuel gauge at 1/2, so probably around 10 gallons in the tank. Trip meter at 400 miles. Tw…

Does anyone here have or know of an edge comp box that is either damaged or for sale cheap? I need the faceplate with the power and adjuster buttons. My box works but the contact coating on the increase button has flaked off. I tried a product called CaiKote 44 which is a conductive coating for the membrane switch, but getting everything apart and cleaned up has taken the "pop" out of the button. If that makes sense. There are only four solder connections to remove and replace the faceplate so if I can find one that would simplify this repair.

  16. So for how ever long I've had my back to going normally, I cannot get my timing and everything thing else figured out. I been talking, chatting with @Mopar1973Man for quite a bit over the past month plus and give him all the credit for getting me thus far, however I figured asking additional input wouldnt hurt. My egt's are through the roof! 800-900* cruising 65 mph. Slight hill or Itty bitty incline 1100*. Lord help me if I wanna pass or just even getting up to speed 1500* Oil and coolant always the same 195* give or take. Oil should be cooler. Engine load now seems to be 19-20 going 65 mph. I think this is what I was running yesterday and this m…
