MoparMom and I went down to Ontario, OR and purchased a pair of 8 foot ranch gates and pair of railroad ties for post. Needless to say it was a very nasty digging job took nearly all day to dig two 3 foot deep holes and set the post. But I'm please with the results it will keep unwanted people out of the yard and also keep thing from disappearing from the yard.As for the gap in the gates there wasn't much I could do about it being this is nothing more than a river bottom in my yard with roack as big as 4-8 foot at times. So I hard to fish my way down to 3 foot depth one way or another so the extra 9-10 inch gap was added.

I'd rather learn by watching others mistakes than repeating them myself. My buddy was using his riding mower to "mow" the leaves off the edge of his driveway & into his woods. Must have been some leaves trapped by the muffler low on the front. The leaves caught fire & his ride-on is now burned to a crisp... front tires, grill, headlights, hood motor... pretty well covers it. Well, he's all right, at least.He didn't call me to bring the marshmellows, Hershies & graham crackers...He seemed a bit shaken when he told me. I bet his fellow volunteer firefighters bust him something aweful.Russ

I'm finding some conflicting data throughout the net and basically I need the engine number from the data plate on the side of the block for a 2nd gen 24V HO engine (already got SO number) and for any 3rd gen engine. Maybe even a 6.7 but I don't think anyone here has one. If anyone could help me with this then I would appreciate it and do anything you wanted.

After 3 hours of pheasant hunting and then being home about 10 minutes!! He's my old guy....almost 8.5years old now.Can you imagine what your wife or GF would say if you snapped a photo like this of them sleeping!!!!???????????

A couple pix of my Englander 13NC wood stove cruising at about 625* stove top and 475* stack temp. The pix don't do the secondaries justice IMHO!!!! This little stove is the proverbial "cat's dupa" as far as I'm concerned. It'll be Nov. 1 tomorrow, and I only switched on my furnace while I was gone in NoDak from Oct. 12-Oct. 20!!! When I got home I turned the furnace switch off, and she ain't been on since!!!! While I was gone I set it a 50* also!!!! Don't think she clicked on at all while I was gone!!

I don't think Sandy was as bad as the media made it out to be, Anyone else think the news was just trying hard to get the ratings?

Just got a phone call from Pepsi and he states that they are bringing in fire wood and food, etc in preparation for this incoming storm. Granted, my new stove hasn't been going 24/7; but it's almost Nov., and I haven't flipped the switch to turn on my furnace yet!!!!!!:thumbup2: As of now, I'm only running it on an "as needed" basis...........to keep the chill out of the house as well as the humidity.I tried taking some pix last night of my little Engander 13NC cruising at 650* stove-top with the "secondaries" going like the "northern lights"!!!!! Turns out the program is heavily aimed at the college kids. Telling them in the past, we got this country all wrong. Teaching about the guys that were innovative enough, industrialized and developed this country are not the heroes but, bad people.
