I got called out to another vehicle accident. I'm not exactly sure of the cause of this one but speed actually played a role. (Yes... That is me...)

Alright, so the other day the windshield wiper fluid light came on. Picked myself up a gallon of some fluid. Popped the hood in the parking lot and popped the cap on the resevoir. I start pouring it in and then noticed that its almost full after only pouring in a 1/2 gallon of fluid. Huh? I poured it into the coolant resevoir! :banghead: Ok.. So I lost 1/2 gallon of fluid. It was no biggie to isolate the resevoir from the cooling system. Pop the rubber hose off and pop the resevoir out and dumped the fluid into the wiper fluid bottle. Curiosity is, how much of a difference would it really make to the coolant system had I not noticed? ...can't believe…

  5. Buddy and I decided to start getting in shape for fire season and start doing some hiking. So for our first trip we went up to the end of Rapid River road and parked but instead of following the Rapid River trail we headed more North West towards Shingle Creek. Now just looking at those pictures we are at roughly 3,500 feet looking out across from the south panning to the east then to the north. West we had reached the snow line. Not much but not worth trying to hike on a steep hillside and slick snow.

40 degrees and flash flood warnings yesterday..... what next? seems like every 10-15 years they'll see way above temps, whilst the east coast is way below average. Oh, sure, propane is going up 'cause of the shortage. I filled early last week, @ 1.85 gallon, It's 2.10 now, and might push dang near 3.00 by end of month.

Well, after almost a month of pounding the pavement, keyboard, and my head on the desk, I landed a new job. I start work on Monday at Poindexter Excavating as their shop small engine mechanic. Extremely happy to have the job, and excited about the fact that I get to work with my hands again. The only kicker was another job that I interviewed with and liked, called me back a few hours after I'd accepted Poindexter offer...I guess this whole civilian job thing I could have taken the other offer, but I told them that considering a good friend of mine had gotten me into Poindexter on his reference, and I'd already committed to them, that I couldn't back out now. Eith…

Surely somebody on here hunts. Post up your kills. (or about your kills) I killed a handful of dove last year. (bad year) I got two deer; a doe, and a small 8 point buck. I also got a handful of ducks, (season ends on Sunday) and a handful of squirrels. I've noticed an increase in the population of woodcocks, but I didn't get a chance to hunt them.

  12. I've been a contractor all my life (32 yrs.) but changes in the construction/ remodel biz has changed. So I went and got thru my first interview, approved for the next step to go into rv sales. Was wondering if anyone knows anything or had experience with such as it's all terribly and I do mean hugely new to me. With the Good...the Bad and the ugly.... I think I can do pretty well in this biz. What do you guys think? At least it easier than dealing with the heavy work, building Depts. and the politics. Thank you guys for bein' the best around here. Mike

Any of you guys closed a business (LLC - sole proprietor)? can the inventory be sold to self, or spouse, at a discounted rate? I'm trying to liquidate the inventory as soon as possible. From what I've read: "Though the law does not require non-bankrupt business owners to sell their business's assets when the business closes, many business owners try to sell them anyway to recover as much money from the business as possible. If a non-bankrupt business owner is a sole proprietor, he and the business are the same legal entity, so he can keep whatever inventory or assets he doesn't wish to sell. However, sole proprietors are still responsible for repaying the bus…

Has anyone gotten these figured out on the new software? My preferred method is to receive one email when the thread is updated, until I log in and check the thread. This is how the old software worked, and all the other forums I frequent. The setting I am on is sending me an email for every post, regardless if I have seen the thread since the last post or not. I tried the offline setting, but was missing threads because there was a delay in the software realizing I was offline and if something posted in that delay time I was not notified. All the emails in the screenshot were received overnight, during a time period where I didn't log into the website onc…

  19. As you may know from my posting here my wife and I are looking into buying an investment / vacation property in FL in the next year or so but I just came across this bit of news and wanted some input from someone who lives there now and what you know about it. If this is the way it is going to be this will change our plans for inter-coastal living in Florida lol. If you don't know about it maybe it will be an eye opener for you to share with others in your area. http://sayanythingbl...das-new-normal/ Thanks in advance I sent this message to all the Florida residents I know of in FL and the bottom response is from Johnfak just so everyone knows what is going on, I d…

Been wanting to do this for a long time and finally did. Basically its my truck with 245/75/16 Tires and 3.54 rear with Nv4500 Vs Nv5600. The chart shows me shifting at 2000RPM in every gear then picking up the next gear at the same MPH that the last gear was going at 2000RPM. The numbers between show the RPM drop between gears, as in 4th to 5th on the Nv4500 drops 500RPM. Its interesting because the 3rd to 4th gap on the Nv4500 is actually less of a jump than 2nd the 3rd, but because it is still jumping a vast RPM at a higher speed, the truck can't cope with the lower RPM and high load of high speed that it encounters, so it "feels" like a huge gap. When you…
