This the first year that I have not seen any honey bees. Kind weird. Is there a reason for them to be completely gone in one area and then still be around in another town?

Is there anything for them to forage on? Blackberries are coming on and they are the areas main source of nectar and pollen. Bees make hay for a month or so. Keep an eye out on blackberry blooms.

I have loads of clover growing in with the grass and they were always in front of the mower. Lots of blackberries and other flowering plants too.

It is possible that you are just not seeing them but they are around.  But do a search for CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder).  The world's population of honey bees is on the decline.

I've known they are on the decline. It's just so weird cutting the grass for a couple hours and not seeing any. I will look some more and report back.
