  • The lift pump does not have a relay. The fuel relay in the PDC is for the VP.

  • Honestly I think most of the VP44 failures were related to the actual deisgn of the vp rather than input fuel shortcomings.     Things like -non-leaded soldier coming into play -ba

  • @TFaoro had 2 or 3 bad bluechip vp's out of the box so odds aren't that low.   I am assuming you used a good code scanner to scan for codes?  I don't think the harness is bad load shouldn't play into

maybe that's Torque management kicking in when it shouldn't be?

Thats something that cuts fueling that comes out of the ECM.  However it shouldn't happen until after you get the truck moving.  Does your tool show you mph?  maybe the PCM is telling fueling to cut?

Replace the VSS?  The sensor on the rear diff?

unplug the ABS and try again

Before all of this started I had a problem with the lights and the blower motor not working properly and it turned out to be a super corroded ground lug under the drivers side battery. I replaced the connections with new and it was fixed. I also had the alternator output wire rubbed through end have an intermittent short to ground on the alternator housing. I also repaired the wire and rerouted it further away from the housing. I replaced the alternator just in case. Could any of this have affected my PCM ? If so, could that contribute to my problem? Quite honestly I do not want to throw another part at it unless I have to. I will try playing with the ABS and VSS asap and report back.

Would be nice to know someone with same truck and swap parts around to figure it out.

I am running out of parts to need swapping. I have replaced almost everything on it. The funny thing is is that it will probably be something simple. Just haven't had that a-ha moment yet.

Still runs the same. This weekend I am going to go thru all of the grounds again to double check. I will also look at the APPS wires to make sure of no shorts and good continuity.
