Some devices don't allow the link of the quad app to the .json file type of the tune.  You can still import manually.

 

1. Open the quad app

2. go into your custom tune menu

3. click Import in the upper right.

 

4. next a file explorer will open.  Each phone is a bit different, but you want to click the settings in the upper right, then "show internal storage"

 

5. You will now see this structure.

6.  you can navigate to the downloads folder and click the tune you want.

Also, regarding loading a tune on iOS. The easiest way that we have been able to do it is to mail the tune to ourselves. When we opened it on iPhone 4 mail app and then open the attachment we see this: 

Click on the highlighted icon to open up the sharing button. It will load up options of programs to share to. Like this: 

When you see that, simply choose the Open in iQuad option and you should be good to go. 

Update for the iPhone implements a twirly when loading tunes or saving parameters. It will also give the option to reset to defaults if loading tune parameters fail. (i.e. when trying to load a V2 tune to a Legacy tuned Adrenaline it will fail a lot).

That worked like it was supposed to.  Why won't the other tunes work?

Funny part both file load just fine for me. The getting pissed file is basically blank with no tuning. In other words timing is 15 across the board. Happy has a actual tune there is valid settings.

I dont know.  I validated both tunes and they are the same.  They both load for me as well.  Confused. 

 

 

It's gotta be me right?  The fact that I seem to be the only one having these issues on this site.  I don't like computers and I think they know it, lol. I went over to the custom tunes thread and copied some of the tunes manually.  I'll work with those for now and see what I can come up with. 

When you hook up with me I'll double check your setup.

Everytime i go into my file downloads and try to open a tune file i exported OR downloaded it gives me this error. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalled and same thing. Anyone have same problem?

Open the iquad app first, 

Then click the home button, 

then open the tune file

 

 

Just tried that and getting same message. I cant immagine the app needs to be connected to the truck at the same time right? Maybe its just my pos phone?

are you running hte latest version of the app from the play store?

 

It does not need to be connected.  What program are you using to open the file location?

Yeah, there is no update available so it must be the most current one out. Im going to apps. Going to tools, then my files, then downloads. Samsung galaxy8 plus

Try a different program,  do you have a "downloads" program on your phone like I do?   You can also try emailing it to yourself and opening hte attachment from Gmail or similar.

I do not have a downloads program, just what the phone came with, i did try to email it also and open from there and this is whats displayed now. Wont let me open with iquad.

Finally figured it out. It wouldnt download correctly from yahoo mail. But it works when i use gmail.  Now that thats figured out i cant grt the app to connect and when it does and i try to go up the power levels it freezes. Anyone else having same problem?

Dont change power levels for the first 2 minutes after connecting.  The tune is applying and it will freeze if you try to change levels while it is happening.  The beta version of the app has a tune load progress bar that fixes your issues, but since you are on IOS I have no idea how it works,  I have only used the Andriod version of the app.  

 

 

Okay, i will try to give it a little while longer before i try to change pwr levels see how that works out. Im on android as well

If oyu are on andriod get the beta app out of out downloads section . you will like that a lot better.
