on quadzillas website it says you can read and erase check engine lights and codes but i have never discover this function while using the quad. Am i missing something or is this on the old set up or what?

Sorry... Quadzilla doesn't have those functions. I think they need to update there site.

Is there a way to write some code or something we can do to make it read and erase codes because that would be awesome.

no, the quadzilla doesn't connect to the sci bus in a 2nd gen.  

Yep, What Me78569 said. We can read and clear codes on 06 and up because we connect into the OBDII port on those trucks. We are working on being able to read and clear codes on the new monitor we are working on for the VP trucks but it may be some time.
