Alright, so I just put a set of DAP 7x10 SAC injectors in my 2001. It is a pretty stock truck IMO. Any advice on tuning? I’m trying to cut down on the smoke and avoid having to put around at next to no throttle. Truck is a 6 speed, only mods are raptor lift pump, BHAF, 4” straight exhaust, the injectors, and a quadzilla with iQuad. If I give it more than est. 15-20% throttle, it smokes like crazy. I think I can tune most of that out, and hopefully get some more power out of it. EGTs are below 750 cruising and the stock HX seems to be doing its job. Any help on where to start would be much appreciated.

Could you post up your axle gear ratio and tire size. This plays a huge role in if you can control smoke and EGT's.

Could you export you tune and upload it to the post as an attachment so we can look at your settings.

Really want it comes down to is you should start with lvl1.  Set your valet mode power % at 80.  do a WOT take off.  Are you happy with power vs smoke?   If you want mroe power increase valet mode % by 5 and repeat until you are happy.

Once you hit dark haze your truck really isn't going to get any faster so that is what you are looking for.

Got it. I’m running 4.10 gears and my tires are 245/75R16s. Hopefully the file looks normal. I had the pump max set on 1800 but I turned it down to 1550 hoping that would change the smoke, but it made no difference.

iquad-2018-06-04-08.12.52.json

doesn't look like you are running V2 tunes.   I would update your box to run V2 and then choose the V2 vehicle profile.  That will resolve your issues.

When you’re talking about valet mode, are you doing that on a computer or through the app? I don’t see that option on the app. Could have been an update I missed since I’m running the iQuad off an old phone not on the network, but I can get on my WiFi at the house with it.

you aren't running V2 tunes, you need to update your quad.

Ok, right on. I’ll download that tonight and hopefully it helps. Thanks for the input! I’ll let you know what happens.

I updated the box, but on the iQuad app it failed at step 8/9. Right now I’m just running it on level 0 until I get it figured out. I’m going to delete the app and make sure I’m running the current IOS, then download it again and see if that fixes it.

You good. I was looking for the bigger 35 to 37 inch tires with 3.55 gear which creates a whole new problem. But you just fine the final ratio is good and high making the load on the engine really low.

did you change your vehicle profile from 1998-2000 to 1998-2002 v2?

the vehicle profile needs to match the base tune.   once the profile is changed to be v2 you will see 36 some odd tuning variables.

Gentlemen, thank you for the advice. My quad works good now, smoke is minimal, and I will fine tune it this weekend. I truly appreciate the help.
