It should be fine whether it's gas diesel or whatever, most of the time they are made out of coil brass tube, but it could go out of calibration or break depends on how much extra pressure

Over pressur on the gauge rating would be my only concern. How far that can go would be beyond me, but there has to be a tipping point.
What do you guys think...have Vulcan fuel pressure test gauge. It goes zero to 30 psi. I want to test my 5.4 gas fuel pump. Looking for 20 thru 40 psi.
Will gauge break if it goes or (max) 30 psi or will gauge just top out.
And I assume vulcans test gauge doesn't care if diesel or gas?
