alternator/ transmission help

I have a 2001 dodge 3500 5.9 diesel and the alternator went out we replaced the alternator and now my transmission will shift up and down sometimes, most of the time it drive normal please help

    Here I'll help...   The test...   Then if the alternator fails again replace it. Yes, new alternator fail out of the box.   Then move on to the ground wire mod.

Sorry I can't post a link to the two articles you need ..... one is testing for AC ripple at the alternator...... and the other is W-Ts' grounding mods. Both have helped a lot of truck owners around here.
