Evening all-

My dash plastics and door panels have been faded pretty badly by the sun.  It's somewhere between the Agate Grey and Light Grey interior colors anymore.

I'm looking for a product similar to the "Plastic Renew" to bring back that nice dark grey color.  Does anyone have a favorite product that might be better or last longer?  I'm looking for longevity mostly.

I was going to paint mine but not sure if there is paint that will last

I painted the front bumper cover and top bumper cover on mine with plastic auto trim paint 2 years ago and they still look good but have scratched some paint off in 2 spots due to some minor impacts. Dont know how it would work on the interior stuff.

Detail king's plastic restoration should be exactly what you're looking for. They seem to have pretty top of the line products. Been meaning actually get some myself

Check your local auto body supply for a vinly dye.  Works great as it soaks into the material instead of coating.  Last one I used was a liquid and I wiped it on with a rag.  Comes in spay cans also.  Results were very good.  Just say No to paint,. You will spend hours removing the paint that doesn't flake and scratch off to redo it.

I cant disagree on the paint but really been surprised how well it stuck to the exterior plastic.

Thanks guys. I’ll see what’s around and try these out!

If you use a paint, use some BullDog adhesion promoter.  I painted a bunch of stuff in my wifes jeep about a year ago and it still looks great.  It was stuff that gets touched too, vents, steering wheel trim, door panels and no peeling or flaking.
