I have an 01 Dually club cab, bottoms of the doors are a little rotten.  Found a 99 being parted out with perfect doors.

#1 will they bolt up no issue?

#2 they are manual windows and I have a power window truck.  Can I move everything over to those doors?

  • The donors have to be off a club cab also. The reg cab doors have round corners where the club has square corners.

I would think it would work just fine. Look them over close to see if there is any differences in how the hinges are mounted. Might be a clue.

If you do get the new doors on be sure and spread some oil into the bottom of the doors. I understand it helps keep them from rusting. I think there is a way to do that without removing the inside door panel too if you want using some spray can oil, but make sure the window is up all the way first.

Thanks Dripley.... I never knew that. Sometimes I see a thread started with not much response and so I want to help, but don't know everything about it.

It is true that some threads will start very slow until someone responds even if they dont have an answer but it does seem to jump start things.

@portlandareae28 Not sure what you would have to do to change manual window to power. I would like to thing it would just be swapping hardware from one to the other but dont know.

It doesn't look too terribly hard to remove and replace window motors or hardware, and I would love to assume that dodge made just one door one way which would include all of the holes, etc...  I may just wait and see if I can't find a power window truck being parted out to get the doors off of..  could switch to manual windows but door panels cost more than doors these days.
