I got my fuel gauge installed today, nothing fancy. It works and I can watch my pressure as I drive now. Running about 14 psi while crusing.

I have the new replacement for my truck that I installed with my rebuilt vp44.My driving around pressure is about 13 psi.If I hit the throttle hard from a dead stop until I reach about 80 mph it drops down to about 4 psi, and then instantly returns to the 13 psi.I never really do that kind of driving it was only a test.Mostly I just drive gentle. I handle my truck like I do my wife, Nice and gentle.

4 PSI... :ahhh: That's way too low... Once you drop below the 10 PSI mark you lost your cooling and lubrication for the VP44. Something to consider back in my days of running stock pump they do keep up with demands. I nevery dropped below 10 PSI with stock pump and stock plumbing at WOT all the way to 85 MPH...

Install looks good..Your psi is probably fine if you don't drop below 10 under normal driving/towing.. But if you drop below often I would get a different pump, much cheaper than a VP44.

That's fine for normal driving. What does it do when you tow?
