I haven't been on a forum in many years but you kinda need to go back to them when you have a real question that needs to be answered. I have an 01 Dodge Ram 2500, auto, Quadzilla, 75 injectors, 62/68/12 and a Airdog

 

I run the Quad on the stock tune on the fuel saving tune and bump it up one when towing

 

I just installed my 3 piece manifold so I have my Quadzilla and Edge CTS probes installed and have really noticed my EGTs. They seem to be around 800 in flat ground and up to 1100 on small hills. I was told maybe it has a boost leak which I have checked. My truck can hit 25 lbs quick but kinda seems to max out but my wastegate should open at 35. Maybe I need a different turbo configuration or something but I just think my EGTs are high. 

 

Recently got the Moparman High Idle Swtich, install was easy but I just got it for the MPG mode.

It should be set for 35 psi from their site. I was having an issue with the wastegate hose popping off. I thought of blocking it off to disable the wastegate to see what that does.

You have v2, it's been plugged on my truck for few years now.

I got some DFI 7x.010 injectors from a friend for $350, maybe 50 miles on them and gonna work on my gauges this week also. 

That'll be great.  Let us know how you like them.  I have 75hp injectors like you and feel like i need more.

 

Im still able to get 40+ psi with my injectors though, which brings me back to something being funky with your set up as it sits.

May want to check pop pressure before you put them in, I personally would not put them in unless they are around 320 bar, in guessing they are around 300 now. Be ok but smokey.

You think the injector will wear out that quick with 50 miles on them?

I think something else is up.  you need more injector for sure, but something is off.

No, but most injectors that size are popped lower for more flow. Just saying if it was me I'd want them to be in that 320-325 range. 

Have you checked for boost leaks

Installed the injectors, gets 30 psi on the fuel saving mode and will hit 35 and then the wastegate opens so they seemed to of helped out.

I towed about 11k lbs I wanna say up a steep hill without a good running start, EGTs were about 1400 and boost was about 30 psi, decent I wanna say

On what level did you see 1400 degrees?

 

we just towed our 14k Lb 5er up a 10 mile grade that ranged from 4-6%... on level 3 with 75hp injectors and about 25psi out of my hx40 hybrid... the max I saw EGT was 1100-1150.

 

i feel like I could have gotten into some wiretap for more power up the hill but she maintained 50 mph at the steepest part of the hill so I suppose that’s enough.

I typically run level 3 unless more power is needed. Anything with wire tap I could push through the 1,200 barrier pretty easy. Even towing a trailer on level 3 does extremely well.
