So I'm building my nv4500 finely but am courious what sealer works best for the tail housing and the top cover and input shaft housing

Used permatex black silicone when I did my nv5600, and other transmissions I’ve dealt with. Just put it in and snug it up, it’ll give it time to harden then come back and torque it down. Haven’t had any issues doing it that way. 

Prematex Grey RTV is the meanest silicone it will hold the cover on. It works great for the gearcase cover it works great on diff covers and transmissions.
