Ok folks I need to know if I take the banjo fitting ( return line ) off at the vp and blow air thru it to make sure it's not stopped up , will it hurt anything like crossover tube orings. I just wont to make sure the return to the tank is open. Also will it hurt vp?

Are you having some starting problems or something?:shrug:I would say as long as you don't get much above 20 psi it would be fine. You may be able to go more, but I'm not that lucky!

No starting problem, surging problem and slite miss. The only thing that has not been replaced is mapp and ait sensor, water temp sensor. I was thinking if return is slite stopped up it my cause it. Just trying anything.

Do you have the fittings to run the return into a container to test it out, that would take the plugged line out of the equation. just a thought.

Now that I think about it, the line has a connector right at the tee. I suppose I could unplug it right there and put a hose on it. Now the question is how much is it suppose to return?

I took my tee off, at idle it ran a full pipe but not very much pressure, mybe 2-3 psi. It was not easy to get to, but somehow managed to do it without tearing half the truck apart. Also you can check for fuel coming from the over flow to the injectors.

I can not understand how clean, filtered fuel could possible plug up the return, after it went through the small tolerances of our VP44?

That's a good point, but you never know if the VP has shed some pieces or something. That's all I can think of!!

If your going to do this open the cap to the fuel tank... Use small short burst and have a partner listen at the fuel tank. Be aware the fuel might spray out of the filler neck also if you forget to open the cap it might spray back fuel on you when you release the blow gun...

it was probably clean through the 44, then a small compression leak at the injector will soot the hell out of it on its way back to the tank.

If you just want to make sure its not stopped up, start your engine and after a few minutes crawl under and feel the return line near the tank, it'll should be warm.
