Because I live in a state that we don't do smog checks.I have decided to run two cycle oil in my gasser. If nothing else it will lube the injectors, and the valve stems on the intake for sure, and maybee some around the exhaust.It will lube the upper rings in the engine for sure, and I don't know about the injection system but I am sure there will be something that gets lubed in there.So that is my opinion. As for now i am doing 1/2 ounce per gallon. Don't whine and say I'm wasting my money, or I will tell you don't leave tips when you go out to eat.So far it seems to quieten the engine down some, maybee my imagination. Time will tell about this adventure. I do know it never hurt any of my two cycle engines.

I searched around and have been seeing good results from it. I wonder if it has any downfall on carb gassers since the 2 stroke won't exactly turn to vapor like gas does. I don't see any issue with direct injected gassers. Even you said it is quieter. You should see if it increases mpg any.. :thumbup2:

The only thing that you might watch for is possible CAT plugging at the worse case. The only other thing it might effect is the oxygen sensor. But I don't see it hurting anything as for engine wise... 256:1 should be fine.

Depending on the 2-cycle it may be Cat safe. I know the amsoil ones are, but never could find out on the Wally World stuff..I would also check your plugs after a thousand or so miles to check for fouling. Actual 2-stroke motors run a lot more oil, but plugs never last long and the only engines I have ever had plugs just stop working on me (while running) have been 2-strokes.

This thread can be a good help in order to see the wrong thing that may have happen on your vehicle. With regards to the oxygen sensors that can be wrong, try to really verify things up in order to really get it straight. The link of the bob oil guy site is really a good resource to help us out here. Keep it up guys! Thanks for this one!
