For those that don't have projector headlights, this looks like a fantastic option for LEDs.  Even shoots the heat into the housing to melt snow and ice!

  • If were gonna slip on moral pants here, it should go both ways.   What is wrong with the coatings that the NHTSA is forcing the OEM to apply to the headlight lenses that they (headlight covers) yellow

  • There is a benefit to low heat and cold snow, since the cold snow won't stick to the cold housing as easily as it would with a warm housing.    When I look at aircraft icing, which is a much

Think I’m going to go the D2 retro’s myself. Buy some new housing. Then swap them out. The ones I have now are terrible.

So my housings are now terribly moisture filled  thinking about drilling a hole so air can get out. 1/2" or so.

This evening I finally fixed my high beams! Not surprisingly, when the fan ate my wiring last spring, it also smoked the fuse.  HOWEVER - I did not know that I could have power at the headlights with a blown fuse, so didn't ever check it (them?!) until I read about this issue.

After "the incident" I believe I repinned the connector, thus using the high beam as my power source for switching relay. See FSM for boring details...

Pulled over at craters of the moon, debating pushing on home. Got to thinking most all my driving in this trucks well into the night.  Half way into a 4hr burn and im outa steam.

Also wondering how I lived with old school lighting for so long.

Those on the fence,  do it. Doesnt matter if you get good led bulbs or retro fit hid.  Both are so much better than halogen youl kick yourself for not doing it sooner.

Ok pressing on.

The only thing about LEDs is it depends on the headlight reflector for pattern, Cheap headlights will produce poor pattern of light. Where HIDs depend on the lens and typically its a very smooth pattern of light compared to any LED bulb.
