Manufacturer recommends oil to be changed at the 7,500 mile interval along with other things. I've heard of people going to the full 7,500 and some won't even go past 3,000.I know it's a dumb question to be asking but, I can only come up with 2 conclusions to this.3,000 miles can be pretty costly but, increases engine life as it's being flushed out with new oil. I guess those who can afford will do this.7,500 will be more cost effective in the long run but, you have just doubled the contaminants introduced into the system by doing it at this time. We all know that oil serves us 4 purposes, and that is, seal, cool, lubricate, and clean. Only makes sense that all four of these lack in their respective department by extending the interval. What do you guy's think?

But you can talk to Dorkweed he's got one... Been over 80K miles without a oil change and tested through Blackstone labs...

So 80k miles and all tested ok-e-dok-e ?? wow Even though lubricity was good/tested fine - any danger with the contaminants at that mileage - guessing NOT if it passed ?? And this was 80k miles without a canister oil filter change also ?? thats pretty amazing stuff - 5-6 oil changes in LIFE of a truck :lmao2: I could afford 5x$30 =$150 for maintenance !!! Everybody say woowoo

Thats complete oil changes. With the Frantz reccommended FCI you add 12qts of makeup every 24K miles. So your continously changing your oil.

The reasons that you can go further between oil changes with a Diesel and a Gasser is that the combustion of Diesel doesn't produce all of the crap acid and moisture, and dilute the oil like a gasser.I always went about 10,000 on a VW dasher Diesel I got for my daughter. Oil was so black that would stain your hands. If I go 7,500 mile between changes at @11 qt per changes that is the same as changing my old F250 460 at 3,000 @ 7qt per change.

I just wanted to add a friend had a 80 ford gas with a 351w.He changed oil every 3000 for the first 100k.Then just added oil every time it was low for the next 100k.It lasted 205k total before the oil pressure was 5 lbs at idle.

I'm in at 5,000 miles using Delo 400 and Fleetguard Filters. Figure I'd go between 3k and 7.5k.
