Posted March 12, 201114 yr I've been looking at the Isspro gauges and want to make sure before I make my purchase. I am just curious if anyone knows if the EVII gauges will work without the peformax ECM? Thanks
March 13, 201114 yr Not sure what you mean by the ecm? I have the ev2 gauges and all there is is the gauge, wire harness, and sending unit. The wires were long enough too so it was pretty easy installing. Do you have a link or something to show me that ecm thing? As far as I know it's all built into each gauge.
March 13, 201114 yr Author Only reason I ask is because on the picture of the Fuel Pressure gauge I clicked on EV2 but in the center of the gauge if you notice, it says performax. All performax gauges require the ECM. http://www.genosgarage.com/departments.asp?dept=123

March 13, 201114 yr Author That is pretty neat. I think I will go wit the EV2 Gauges. I doubt those require the use of the ECM. Thanks!

March 13, 201114 yr I'm also shopping for EV2 gauges... There doesn't seem to be any deals out there. Thanks for the tip on the dimmer.
March 13, 201114 yr Author Are there any other items that I'm gonna need when ordering the gauges? I'm going with the Electric Fuel Pressure gauge (0-40PSI), EGT (100-1600), and Trans Temp (140-320). For the EGT, should I get pre or post turbo? Whats the difference?

For the EGT, should I get pre or post turbo? Whats the difference? You should get a needle valve from NAPA (WH6820) for the sender so the water hammer doesn't beat it to death. Fuel pressure aim for 0-30 PSI because typical pressure is at 15 PSI. (mid range accuracy) Pre Turbo is suggested because the temps at 300-500*F hotter and show you a more true picture of the temps coming from the engine. Also you want to be in the 4, 5, 6 bank which is typically hotter. Then if you use high idle 3 cylinder you can still monitor your EGT's.
March 13, 201114 yr You may need a boost bolt. http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RLT-ADAPTER if you end up w/ boost gauge!
