I am sick of my cup holder that does not stay up even when empty

Ok anyone knows how to fix the cup holder ?

I will swap it out into my 98 tomorrow and let you know.

Works well ( console does not close ) shifter is far enough the cup holder does not get in the way at all I drove with it all day today not a problem

Best thing is the card holder it can hold so many business cards as you can see

you should be able to adjust the striker pin up to allow the console to close, should have come in the instructions. Pics look great ill be ordering one friday!-Jordan-

my shifter is alot closer than yours. it is only 2 1/4" from the console. i put a new shift tower in with my tranny swap and i have read somewher that the later 5600 had a differant bend on the tower to get the shifter closer to the operator. it does feel alot closer than my old one.

I had one in my '96 5spd. I kept smashing my finger on that one, but it worked great.
