Interesting...

Interesting... I hope you didn't use the same f/w sep again... its not really a very good filter. It's only rated at 50% free water sep at 20GPH, and 0% emulsified water sep.. The FF5613 is a good filter, but is 5um absolute not 3um.

Would you care to share a part number ? I have a fass150 do you think it is the same. I hurt some fresh 7x12's because it let water in.

FASS are even worse. The OEM FASS 150 f/w sep isn't even rated by Fleetguard as a F/W sep.. hard to stop water if thats not what it's designed for!Put a Baldwin BF1212 on there, the HF6604 is the best you can do on the final filtration. FASS and AD really screwed up when they picked their filters and thread/gasket sizes.

Is one of them a f/water and one a fuel filter?

--- Update to the previous post...

I looked up the part #ers Thanks.

I got a pair of donaldson filters on there now...

I presume a P551315 on the final, but what for the f/w sep? The Baldwin BF1275 is the best you can get for the f/w sep.

I recall talking to Donaldson about that filter, but I don't recall the specs.. I do remember I wasn't impressed with them and I am guessing it was the flow rating not being sufficient for the AD pump.

Is your airdog a 150/150? how do you like it. I converted my fass 95/150 to a 150/150 when the motor started going south. They look the same. How much noise does it make when you turn the key? My old fass started getting loud. Real loud! The new 150 pump they sent me is quiet.

Yea its a 150... Its a good pump been reliable... Makes very little noise at all... From what I learn a loud pump could be cause by fuel restriction... Or just a wore out pump motor.

Oh let me tell you ,the fass at the time was 4 years old, the motor was almost as loud as the 24v. Funny thing the psi was the same.

what about a fass 95 series? what would i need to do to change the fuel filter and f/w seperator over to somethign that is more easily found and also rated to provide good protection to my truck, I finally swapped in some new injectors and i have a VP-44 on the way as well, ide hate to have non standard filters that are more or less crap.

Does it use the little or big filters?
