Lets face it we are men,we like man stuff. There is always a soft under belly side we hate to admit. Here is your chance. With the death of Whitney Houston i will admit i really like at least one of her songs. Lets post our favorites, mine is "I have nothing". It gives me the warm and fuzzys.

1:20 and again on 3:11 cant forget 3:44 hits me with the man hammer every time. Please list yours.

I have nothing.. not the song, the statement.I don't think I've every really had any connection with her songs. Not saying she wasn't good (or great), just never really interested me.However, I find her more appealing than Mariah Carey. That girl is a walking chalkboard scratch, IMO.

dually, I can HONESTLY say, that as I sit here typing, I cannot name a single song of hers, off the top of my head..I can, however, recite 99% of the song names + lyrics for SRV, Albert Collins, Journey, Tesla, KISS, and Rush.

thanks! I also cut my teeth on those, as well as Accept, Scorpions, Krokus, Jefferson Airplane, etc ;)

I guess that is going to put me in same class as Rogan, while the woman had one heck off a voice i would be hard pressed to pick a song. It is sad to see someone with her talent succumb to one of her demons, but these things happen and the music world will be shy one of their better talents. I did enjoy listening to her but never bought any albums. I dont buy many of anyones anymore.

As far as "man cards" go.........this is a serious violation!!!:nono: How many points should this be worth guys????? I'd say it's about 5, maybe 6 points worth violation.:smart: You're allowed a maximum of 10 points before you have to turn in your "man card". You by chance don't wax or shave any part of your body other than your face: do you??!! If so, that's an automatic suspension and possible permanent revocation of the "man card", depending on how many areas are affected!!!!:duh: It's stuff like this that is leading to the "pussification of America"!!!:2cents:

don't sugar-coat it, dorkweed! LOLsay what you mean

Dont tell me you own her box set of cd's and are trying to deflect the attention on me.:poke:

I will Always Love You, I Have Nothing, Run to You... "She" didn't appeal to me... but her music swept me away. I note it was the music from the Bodyguard (a simple sappy movie... except for the music), she was not the person for who the script was written, but she knocked it out of the park. She was given a gift both in her voice... and the part in that movie which put her to the top of her craft. So tragic, she squandered the gift with drugs. I almost think she got her act together... seemingly just prescription drugs to deal with the stress... but too late after her voice was broken. As Whitney's music has been played... I realized that other songs I liked were her pre-BodyGuard work.

I am with you, she didnt appeal to me either. But thats my take on all musicians. I just listen to the music. It is sad to see them go down with drugs.
