My fuel filter next to the tank has a clear bowl and drain on the bottom, you can see when it's time to drain the bowl.

good set up.:thumb1:

I case anyone is interested it is a Racor filter set up next to the tank. Racor is designed work only on the suction side of the fuel system to help the lift pumps and everything else down the line.

I have 90% of the original Mopar Severe Duty Filtration kit on my truck. The biggest difference is the filter, the old filter was 25um, and on a 1-14" thread. It was designed as an additional f/w sep, the new one seems to be a f/w sep and final all in one. I haven't been able to find any info on the filter, it's probably made by Fleetguard but they don't make a cross or acknowledge the part number. The add claims 5um at 98%, but I would verify that first. Personally I would build my own kit, add a BF1212 pre-OEM filter and a Donaldson P551313 post OEM filter, you end up with better/staged filtering for about the same cash.

NEVER MIND I FINISHED READING YOUR POST AH64ID! I have the Baldwin which I think is a 5 micron (correct me if I am wrong)in the stock canister then to a 2 or 3 micron donaldson fuel filter. Is it worth getting that kit if you already have this type of setup?

The Baldwin is 5um, and the Donaldson is 3um. I always recommend an additional f/w sep, but the Baldwin meets OE standards.

I bought an extended warranty when I bought the truck. Knowing how they are about dening a claim, theres no way anything but Mopar is going to get added as an extra do dad. I was mostly just curious. Thanks
