Dang the luck...I just lost a ABS sensor on my truck its the front driver sensor for sure the weather jacket is broke open and the inner wire is exposed. So sad but true I need to find a ABS sensor for my rig. Does anyone out there have leads on a cheap ABS sensors or maybe have salvaged a set of them?

Rock auto has a discount code good for another week or 2. Remeber they have to be replaced as a matching brand set unless you install an OEM sensor, I found this out the hard way when I thought I could just replace one bad one with an aftermarket and fought things for over a week on my 02 until I replaced the second one and problems solved.

Hmm, this brings up a good question...Where are these ABS sensors located? I have an ABS light on the dash, but I have yet to see where the sensors are located, etc. I do not remember ever having to disconnect anything of the sort on the rear or front ends.Pics?

I believe that the one Mike is showing is for 2000 or 2001. Mine does not have a hook up like this either. I think it is on the right side of the axle. There is a connection there with some electrical wires there. Bothe HeX and I have 99's. :2cents:

I'd like to see what you got if you have some time to whip the tire and rotor off. Wanna learn what you got... :thumbup2:

The differences between the 98.5-99,00, and 01-02 are subltle, but key. Some day we need to get a few trucks together, a couple cases of beer and a bbq and document them.

Pop the tire off, no problem. Rotor on the other hand, the whole bearings coming out first

I believe the ABS sensor is the wires closest to the axle. It would be pointing towards the l. tire. The other wires plug in from the back side closest to the r. tire. Hope this helps, Mike.post-198-138698198159_thumb.jpg
