I hope i dont get run out of here for owning a chevy but i have swapped in a 12v / 47re out of my wrecked 97 2500 dodge into my 97 chevy 2wd crew cab dually.. lifted the chevy with 3" body lift, 2wd lift springs in the front (yes they make them and yes they are hard to install) , and im probably gonna lift the rear slightly too because i intend to install 22.5 semi wheels all around...I dont have any pics as of yet to upload im mostly concerned with getting the thing finished out and started to ease my anticipation, the rest to follow... Right now im looking at how to do bare minimum to get it started (not drive - i dont have driveshaft adapted yet), and then im looking into the daunting task of making the FACTORY pcm work to control the trans - i enjoy a challenge since people across the net are acting as if it cant be done without a controller (isnt this what the factory pcm is?)Any help or advice will be appreciated!

Welcome Brad. Sorry I cant help with your Chummins, but i am sure some one will have some thoughts on it. Good luck with your project.

I would like to semi-truck wheels on this thing! I never thought of doing that...

Welcome! Sounds like a nice project you have there. As far as bare minimum to get the engine running all you need is power to the fuel shutdown solenoid and power for the starter. My boss has 22.5 Alcoa's on his srw 3500 and it looks pretty good but since he runs semi tires as well the ride is pretty ruff.
