My truck starts hard after a couple days of sitting, like I ran out of fuel. I read somewhere about a loose fitting or something that can cause this but can't find the thread now. Is it possible the fass is bleeding off pressure? I don't see any leaks or weeping anywhere.

I believe the issue is air getting in the line not leaking fuel out. This is why you are being told to just replace the washer and o-rings.

it could be leaking on top of your fuel tank also where all the line hook up. If i remember right on mine the hose where hard as a rock. When i replaced them with the big line kit.

After reading this post I checked my return line at the back of the head and it is leaking, i can smell the 2 cycle and see the back of the head is wet. I get "hard starts" everyday in the morning but restarts during the day are fine. My bell housing was wet too at the top.

I think I found my issue.  Well, it starts every time now and have 2 variables that I changed. One of the issues I changed was going from a draw straw to a sump. The other was the Fass 95 that quit on me. Was  a used pump.  I  think the old pump was bleeding back to the tank and letting fuel get away from the VP. Would prolly take a couple days to do this.

Anyway, now I don't have to worry about running out of fuel at 1/4 tank and my truck start all the time!!!!!

What brand of sump did you get? When it gets warmer this spring I am wanting to do a sump install on my truck. They seem very straight forward.

I did the beans diesel x-sump i think whats it called. You dont have to drop the tank. I got a little write-up somewhere on here
