Pretty much your choice. I do not think there is much difference on tranny filters, all they do is strain out the chunks.

I can't see there being much of a difference either, but my mechanic said oem or NAPA brand. The first time I did mine I used a mopar one, then the second time I used one from cascade tranny parts website and the guy who rebuilt my tranny said he didn't like it, whatever that means...

Every tans filter from mopar to the parts store have all looked alike and probably built by the same company. Just go buy one. I always suggest a governor pressure sensor and solenoid, band adjustment, and a bottle of lucas trans fix whenever doing a trans service. Make sure you get the upgraded solenoid from borg warner

Yep. Night and day difference when you do this. I have done the sensor/solenoid on probably a dozen pickups and just got two more sets today. One guy gained 3mpg hand calculated because the tc locked up sooner

I get mine from cascadetransmissionparts.com. The parts show up from electricaladvantage so they must be sister sites or something. Im trying to find a cheaper source (I already get a discount since I order so many).

mopartechnician,

What does the Lucas Trans Fix do for the transmission?

I'll be checking into the governor solenoid and pressure transducer soon. I need to swap those out in order to get rid of the dreaded 1-2 shuttle shift...

It just helps coat the clutches and band material. I have been doing it for years after learning it from an old head at the dealership
