I installed a Air Dog 100 thinking the stock lift pump was the cause of hard start.  It seams to be hard to start off and on. I dont hear the fuel pump come on and it is hard to start. I changed the fuel pump relay to a new one twice. if i turn the key on and off the fuel pump will come  on and the truck will start. I am lost and cant figure this out.

Its a six speed. I took it to a shop to have the injectors tested. They said the injectors tested fine but i am unsure if they did that test I will have to get ahold of them.

Actually third gens use flow not pressure. I have seen them start and run on very little fuel

I would ask how they tested them. Most likely they did a balance test and that wont help in this situation

I know there is a flash on the manual trans trucks for the crank sensor not pickup up right away but cant remember what years it was. I

I believe it was a 05 and early 06 issue. I know at a minimum my Oct '04 build MY05 and dad's Sep '06 build MY06 both had the flash.

Cheapest way to get the flash is to find someone with a Smarty.

Well the truck has high return on the injectors. So this means they are on there way out? Is it risky to still drive it? What does everyone think of Injector brands?

Injector return isnt hard on anything. The only thing that happens is hards starts (obviously) and poor mileage because I do believe rail pressures are dropped.

As far as injectors if you have the money BBI's. If not pm me and I can discuss stuff with ya

What did the shop previously do to do their testing?

They did all the Electronically and will a fuel pressure gauge on the lift pump. It passed everything Rail pressures, cp3 pressures, cylinder balance, just hard to start when hot. I was upset that he didnt check this the first time and i had to pay a second diag fee

You want to get new injectors, not remans. OEM is good, BBi is best.

There are lots of issues with reman's and it's not worth the little savings as good remans are not a lot cheaper and still have issues.

If you want a little bump in power get new BMS with 50hp nozzles for the same money as it takes for new OEM.

I got brand new bosch injectors runs so much better. Much happier with my truck. I also had to have a reflash on the computer TSB EXTENDED CRANK 18-19-04-21 it has to do with Clutch on the G56 interfering with the crank sensor. Things are much better now. Thankyou everyone for all of your help.

I just learned today that you could get a g56 in a 2005. I always thought they started in 2006

Where did you get your injectors?

Yup, 2005.5. The G56 appeared as the plastic intercooler disappeared, there where a few rare trucks with both.

I purchased the 50hp brand new bosch from Diesel Auto Power. I could pick them up in Salt Lake City when when i was there only 2 hours away so i could get my truck on the road faster. My truck has the all metal intercooler.
