  1. Try Goose Creek grade from New Meadows to McCall (7% grade). Last trip up that I still had zero problems. 4th gear all the way up towing the RV. Very rarely have I touched 3rd gear. Whitebird grade again 7% grade pull in 4th gear no sweat. Lewiston ID grade another 7% grade pull it again in 4th gear. https://goo.gl/maps/C9oQa Here is going down Goose Creek. Tow this up Goose creek in 4th also easy as pie! Close to 7,000# worth of trailer if not more...
  2. Success!! Thanks guys. Was able to drill them down and pop the heads off with a flathead and a 2lb. mallet. (Not without some drama though.. drilled them out and then tried to remove the bolts with a reverse bit, and snapped the tip of the bit off inside!! Can't drill that!). Put the spacer in and bolted it back up.. Ran the lines.. What a BEEYOTCH getting the stock suction hose off the top of the tank!!! Finally had a buddy help me and we got 'er. Got everything hooked up and went to prime the system.. Bumped the key 4-5 times and still nothing. Strange..? Finally decided to put my finger over the end of the hose and it was sucking air... Waitaminute... I reversed the in/out lines! Switched them back and primed and this time diesel came spitting out after 3 seconds or so.. I wasn't expecting so much flow and didn't have a catch pan ready.. Sprayed diesel all over the place (including a nice splash in my face!) before I finally decided just to let it shoot down onto the ground. Bolted everything back up.. Bled the line to the fuel pressure gauge and had my wife crank it while I bled the air out of injector lines 1 & 3. Started right up and was purring like a kitten. Fuel pressure was only 8 psi at first so I turned it up with the screw.. Sitting at 16-17psi at idle now, and drops to 15 when I floor it. Needless to say, I'm happy i finally got it all done! Even happier that I managed to do it myself... the mishaps just enhanced the learning experience! Now what can I fix....?
  3. Jarren at Airdog told me that a machining issue in the pump bodies causes the Orings in the regulator to get cut and leak, thus causing issues with pressure drop. Of the 4 Airdogs I had fail 3 of them started to show very bad pressure drops before they kicked the bucket. I would call Airdog.
  4. Tested wires for a few more days and tested pressures. They sucked on O.D. and Reverse. cerberusium on TDR told my how to make it shift with mistery switches. Took it for a 23 mile trip and it finally shifted halfway normal at 7 miles on the highway. here's the final answer. Had to be air locked or pistons still too tight in the bore with the teflon seals and steel piston rings. something else that tells me it was air locked is I had to put in 1 more qt of oil when I got home. Checked all the pressures today. All are 20# over specs except reverse which runs a steady 250 any speed or rpm and O.D. that runs a steady 100 psi. Tried to run off computer again. No go. Checked pressures on trans again. They be good. all are 20# over specs except O.D. which is 100# and reverse that runs a steady 250# nomatter what the speed. plugged in computer, still won't shift except 1-2-3 Works fine on mistery switches. will replace that p.o.crapola. in dec. when I figure we have enough $ saved to buy one. Thanks for everyone's help. it is VERY VERY much appreciated. thanks d
