  1. Your right on the money but I highly doubt its illegal to buy a broken truck and put a new motor in.
  2. Well for starters ford circles there problems All emissions diesels are available more widely with mechanical failures. And I meant glider as in like the semi industry where they buy new trucks and take out the out motor and put a good running non Emissions motor in. Same like I could do with a power joke.
  3. 2000 3500 4x4 nv4500 Needs frame and both axels. Wanting to put it into something else eventually, thinking like a 17+ powerstroke dead from emissions.... lots of them to grab... what other new vehicles would you recommend for a glider type setup? Thank you
  4. I have a perfect S7 edge I use for my v2 tuning. Its just personal preference. Via bluetooth or maybe bt and wifi for the mac people.
  5. Nvidia is probably the best as far as drivers go. Amd 6000 cards will probably age like fine wine after a couple years of being out, but yes next gen gpu's are right around the corner. Heres a fairly close bit of info for the next cards. An rtx4060 is supposed to be equal or around the same preformance as a 3090.
  6. All the new computers cost an arm or a leg. I also build my own computers. Probably gunna upgrade eventually.
  7. I believe if you get a 03 or 04 S.O if u get one with a dead motor extremely easy to get a dead commonrail there everywhere, and then you could put a 6.7 in. + have 0 emissions you can also 6.7 swap the 4.5-07 hut I hear they need custom tuning and the S.O ARE pretty much straight forward. If you are interested in this route you'll need a 14-18 6.7 cummins as the 5.9 injectors dont fit in 08-12 heads. I only paid $1,500 for my 06 dually crew cab 4x4. I found a clean one with only 140k miles that just needed a motor & work. & I betcha you can get a fully loaded 3rd gen for 5k or less probably.
  8. Had same problem, took to auto electric shop, ended up being a loose wire on a tail light for me.
  9. Alright so I've checked out LMC truck and a bunch of places and I can't seem to find a new woodgrain bezel by chance do y'all have any leads? All I see LMC is the non infinity style dash & bezel. Does the non infinity style just bolt right to it?
  10. So I want to get rid of factory speakers, but this one has the premium audio. So by chance does anyone know if I try to get another set of new 2.0ohm for the (non oem) speaker will it work? Or do I need to gut the doors & rewire? Next it has the heated + power mirrors But there little, anyone know if a plug and play mirrors works ? [Ive ordered mirrors before offline and none of the included studs have ever worked :P]
  11. Well I love stick, but everything I find online even a cryo nv4500 is still pretty weak. I'll probably eventually get a medium duty 6 speed and swap it I think eventually.
  12. So I have 2 nv4500's and the plan was to run both of them into the ground & get the cryogenically treated ones. But for the same cost I could get a g56? But Idk anything about the swap. Any chance y'all have a thorough write up? / what might I I need to do it? Edit found info but I think I'll just wait. Just exploring options my u bad can delete this thread.
