Should I 6.7????
Oh in Canada I was told they have the DF fluid now and read that on the cummins site, hmm weird. - - - Updated - - - I am thinking of getting the new 2013. It has the upped Hp and Torque along with the new tranny. 385 hp @ 2,800 rpm 850 lb-ft @ 1,600 rpm (Aisin AS69RC trans) [h=2]High Output 6.7L Cummins[/h] Early in 2011, Cummins announced an upgraded version of the 6.7L Cummins would be released for the spring. The updated engine saw torque increase to 800 lb-ft (from 650 lb-ft). Horsepower ratings did not change, nor did output for the derated, manual transmission version of the engine. For 2013, the 6.7L Cummins underwent further changes and was scheduled to be offered in 3 version: • 350 hp, 660 lb-ft version coupled to the G56 manual trans. • 370 hp, 800 lb-ft version coupled to the 68RFE automatic trans. • H.O. 385 hp, 850 lb-ft version coupled to the Aisin AS69RC trans (High Output). In addition to the new offerings, SCR (selective catalytic reduction) w/ DEF injection became standard on the new high output version. Ram Trucks reported an approximate 10% increase in fuel economy with the new engine lineup. To reach and safely maintain these power levels, Ram trucks received dual transmission coolers, dual radiators, a higher efficiency intercooler (charge-air-cooler), larger capacity EGR system, and a higher efficiency mechanical fan. Additional 6.7L Cummins Info • Manual transmission equipped 6.7L Rams have significantly less torque output than the automatic equipped 6.7L Rams. • The 07-10 6.7L maintains peak torque between 1,500 & 2,800 RPM. • Approximately 40% of the 5.9L Cummins' engine parts were carried over to the 6.7L Cummins. • The 6.7 features an integrated exhaust brake direct from the factory, which improves safety and vehicle control while towing. • Fuel injection system designed to lowers noise, vibration, and emissions while maximizing output. • Met strict NOx emission requirements for 2010 3 years in advance. • Standard emission equipment includes a diesel particulate filter & exhaust gas recirculation system. For 2013, DEF became standard on the H.O. version. • Initially designed to safely run on B5 biodiesel. Later revised to run on B20 for 2011+ model years.

Should I 6.7????
I hear the newer cummins will have the dpf "cleaning" fluid. Is this a good or bad thing? - - - Updated - - - I hear the newer cummins will have the dpf "cleaning" fluid. Is this a good or bad thing?

P/S noise/moan/vibration
I would also try a fluid change. Mine was so broken down that it was almost NONslippery. I flushed it out with reg PS fluid. Drove for a week then emptied it and put in some synthetic and it is quiet and very slippery.

Won't START!!!!! HELP
I don't have a reader for pressure but have ordered a new scan/computer based program. - - - Updated - - - Just like it did a year or two ago, as soon as the tow truck dropped the truck off at home, it starts. There is either a electrical short that the movement/bumps moves, or it shakes an sticky injector. This is exactly the same as before. I tried it 8 times over the last two days...grrrrrrrr

Won't START!!!!! HELP
Help. I own a 2003 Dodge 5.9L Cummins "High output" with 185,00kms. I drove the truck today to the lumber store and shut it off. It was working fine. I came out to start the truck and with would not start. It turns over great and fast but no start. I had this happen a couple years ago. I ended up getting it towed to a diesel tech and for some reason from hook up to shop something jiggled or something, and guess what. ... It started when it go to shop with no problem. Ever since it has been fine except a APPS sensor that I changed 2 months ago. I check the code and found a P0483 code which is a fan clutch. FYI My fan clutch wiring has been ripped off for 7 years with NO issues except poor air conditioning in the summer. I know this code could be from that but it has not caused issues before. Also I unhooked the two batteries for 10 mins (ya ya I knew it wasnt magic but I was desperate..haha) and still no start. I put the batteries back on and got a P2509. I am not sure if the P2509 was from unhooking the batteries and turning the key on and off and putting it in gear to try and clear memory or what. Anyways anyone have any info or hints??? 185,00 kms TST max chip Fass fuel pump ( i can hear it pumping) havent pulled line to check though at motor. Large exhause Free flow intake 2003 HO cummins auto:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: - - - Updated - - - wow 50 views and no hints..lol I am going to disconnect the power line to the heater grid and give it a shot of ether and see if it fires. Will advise.

Should I?? 6.7 L?
New-New I am probably going to keep the old 5.9L it only has 170k on it and still get a new truck. I don't tow much, I had plowed with the other truck but might not with this one, but not sure. I do live on a farm but don't really do alot with trailers etc alot, but sometimes. Again won't go into it but I am able to get a new truck at little cost to me so thats why I am purchasing new. Any info would help. I do want half decent power and mpg's.

Well maybe this summer I will have some time to try and invent something or I will try and look around for a used one off a truck.Limited on deals up here in Ontario Canada compared to the USA.

CFM+
Might help some. I think the rough inner material is part of the problem. Also the bold restriction area etc.

Thanks for the info.

Two stroke oil and CR injectors
I am actually not worried about the pour point or gelling, I am looking for the best lubricant for the injectors etc.

APPS
Still working great!

Lets see your homemade air intake..
I am looking for the article and will link when I find it. It went on to basically say cooler air from intake would not help and or make no difference or neg difference. I am NOT a engineer etc but always thought more (as long as fuel ratio is right) and cooler air was better. I really want to make a cooler air intake. I think I will try it anyways and do my own MGP tests and performance tests.
