  1. Links do not work for me.
  2. Yeah, mine was like that but read 40 all the time. Replaced sending unit it now follows the pressure as it should.
  3. I asked at the transmission shop here and he said not to tow in overdrive with my truck which is a 2001 quad cab 4wd sport. He said there is a part in the tranny when overdrive is selected that is stressed while towing.
  4. My truck was built in apr 00 and has a tsb http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/05-06-00.htm I am not sure where the grease needs to go on the anti rattle clips. Anyone know? Thanks David
  5. That is what I like to do too, but in this case they had switched right and left except for the emergency brake lever and the adjuster cable (which was not hooked to anything) must have been to much work for them to replace the cable. I could have used the old shoes they had no wear compared to the replacements.
  6. JG Thanks had to make a run for different hardware NAPA had the right stuff. There are two pieces that where not there when I took them apart they look like c"s. do not see them in any of the diagrams you sent. They where a big help thanks again. Will finish up tomorrow I have the front to do have EBC rotors and yellow stuff pads. David
  7. Hello I have an early 2001 2500 4X4 sport with rear drum brakes, I am in the process of changing brakes and I am looking for some help. I purchased the brake hardware kit and the one the parts store(orielys)shows for my truck is not correct. Any one have any idea's or maybe had the same issue before. I would like to see an exploded parts breakdown if anyone has a link I would really appreciate it. It appears the shop that did the job last put left and right on the wrong sides the auto adjusters where not contacting the star wheels, the shoes look new no wonder I had such lousy brakes I complained to them several times and got no satisfaction. Was unable to do them the last time because of work.ThanksDavid
  8. So if I hook up a smarty what does it do? I was wondering if there was anyone close to me central Illinois who has a smarty and would be willing to hook up and do the upgrade. The local Dodge dealer has no idea what I am referring to when I asked about the fast idle 3 cyl unlock, makes me apprehensive do not want "all the goofy problems"
  9. Do you have the fittings to run the return into a container to test it out, that would take the plugged line out of the equation. just a thought.
  10. So if I get the flash done to take advantage of the high idle 3 cyl run my oil pressure gauge will not work correctly?
  11. My wife and I would like to come back and visit someday, we had the best French fries at an A&W near a Hilton hotel can't remember exactly where though. Have some good memories oldest daughter turned two there. I wonder how much it has changed since we where there?
  12. I missed the sale $69 now I'll wait maybe it will go on sale again. I see you are on the rock I was there 72-74 at Kadeana (sp.)
  13. urea isn't that recycled whiskey!! lol:lmao:
  14. Thanks, I found a vacuum line off behind the master cylinder that goes down behind the block did not see where it came from but hooked to a spot that was capped off on a tee. Anyone have a picture off the routing? Looks to be loose at the back of the block as well.ThanksDavid
  15. Hello,My 4 wheel drive will not engage I noticed it Saturday while helping Brother in law move.I recently had it in for repair of cam cover gasket wondering if there was somethingthat might have been disconnected during the repair causing this. I have a 2500 2001 sport quad cab. Thanks in advanceDavid
  16. So if I get a reflash to get the fast idle and 3 cyl idle I will lose the functionality of the gage.
  17. Sorry for the late post changed sender gage varies with temp like yours.
  18. The ones that you did where the gaskets broken? My was broken in two places looked like the gasket had shrunk one spot on top was 1/8 open the other on the bottom about a 1/4" open. Do you remember what oil was being used in the two that you did? I had switched from Valvoline super blue to rotllea dont know if this was a factor or not. Thanks David
  19. thats 8 hours for 2 men or 4 hours for 4 men I am going with Diesel ____ because I know and trust his work' a little more cash is worth the peace of mind!!!
  20. I really do not understand why the Cummins Crosspoint says that was the avg. time to change the cam cover gasket. When I picked up my truck the shop manager explained that experience has shown themthat this is a fair est. of time, I called another garage (Diesel ____) this guy is 69 years old told me he is not working fast anymore but said that no more than 12 hours and it would probably be more like 8 hours.Local Dodge dealer said 5 hours but they did not know what I was referring to when I said cam coverwhen I explained it they came back with the quote I asked if they had ever changed one they said a couple. So I am wondering if I should go with the Dodge dealer's quote or go with ____. I am concerned that the Dodge dealer will find other things to charge for if they run over on time. I want to avoid any problems have had them with dealer with extended warranty issues. Thanks for reading Dave
  21. Thanks for the help, could not get the local Cummins shop to budge on their quote. They said that they are going by what they have done in the past and that 20 hours is what they need.I told them to stop work luckily they have not started work charged an hour to inspect.I have a couple places to get quotes from, pray for good favor for me.:thumbup2:Dave
  22. Can you get me a copy of that page. I sure would appreciate it, will try and get them to change their quote. Any one have the flat rate that cummins uses? Thanks alot. Dave
  23. There is a piece of gasket missing and they are saying 22 hours labor just want to confirm if this sounds right
