4wd System Refresh np241DHD rebuild.
HI guys, I had a similar problem with my np241 dhd. Maybe it's your struts and springs of the synchronizer. Look in the dodge repair manual chapter 21-910 to 912. When I had drain the oil I had some pieces of metal... it was the synchro springs, I rebuid it but assamble the wrong way and when the truck it little bump makes a scrapping sound only in 2wd . I had try in 4wd and nothing wrong. So I disassambly the t-case and recheck the synchro. it was the cause. Make sure to assamble the struts and springs the correct way like in the manual!

Random ABS light and weird braking performance
Does exactly the same thing for a long time, like you Mike! Sometimes no ABS light and other the light appears - disappears.. Change the rear sensor. nothing change. ????????? Hate electronic

BHAF connecting Tube
it made a little grippier surface or stickier . Help the boot not to slip. spray on the lip where the boot connect, connect the boot and tighten the clamp! Have no problem with mine.

01 dodge speedo doa
Mine have ABS light comes on and off. Speedo is good. Had it check by mechanik drb tool and rear sensor area trouble. We found twisted wire connection with tape and some corrotion. I repair the wire that looks like burn and changed othing the sensor but nothing changed!! Maybe bad wiring all the way . Maybe your trouble???

I just see the VP44 in a add, I think it's new!! not sure if rebuild or calibrated. But it's a diesel shop near my house . closed business and they liquidated his stuff. it's 500$ CAD , I live in Quebec ... I want to know if it's a good deal or I take big chance.. for now my VP run good its just for safety and economy for futur!! And want to know like rubberduck01 said if the keyway is all the same 98-02 and fit direct bolt on without modification for all this year.. if its interchangeable! Thanks guys and sorry for my english not so good!!!!

Hi guys, I want to know if I can tap the hole in the hy35 housing where the metal hose goes for the wastegate. I want to put the elbow that come with the edge jwa for increase boost?? Does it work or I'm better with a j-hook to increase boost?? Second question. For my 2001 24v automatic, does this vp44 pump #BOSH 0470506005 ---- #CUMMINS 3676670 fit directly on my truck or I need to get another key for the shaft?? If its bolt-on right with no problems?? I found one near. guys want 500$ new and said its for 1998-1999. It's a close enterprise ... Thank you

Yes first I'll try with a mechanical gauge. The truck start good at any time after a day or night parked or just after turning of . when driving it seems to have no problem . no hesitation even on WOT. I had a little leak on one fitting at pump on line to vp44 but tightened it and now OK but same thing. The motor sound like bizz buzz bizz buzz .... like pumping pumping less. .. I was thinking the stock suction tube or problem??? thinking of buying a tank sump but don't know if it's necessary.

For the transfer case noise. it was my error . I have not install correctly the syncro key . On the FSM it shows how the keys go between the teeth. Now everythings OK thanks for the help guys!!!!

Hello, I've installed a Fass titanium 150gph and now my fuel pressure bouncing it goes from sometimes 14 to 20-24 and goes like 18-20 -21-17-15 bla bla bla ... change rapidly . I have an edge jwa with that electronic sensor. I dont think its the sensor it was good. The motor pump goes like on-off on-off .. . I drive the truck and I run fine even on WOT ... I take the suction line in the stock suction tube from the tank. run the 1/2 line to my stock fuel filter canister and put a 3/8 line from the canister to the vp44 to keep my banjo bolt and the pressure sensor at the VP44 . It's bad that fass don't give a fitting to fit a sensor with the kit! So if anyone can help me or already had this kind of problem of fuel pressure fluctuation will be greatly appreciated for tip and trick . Francis

Hello guys! John was right. I recheck my valvebody and the cause of slipping was I misunderstand The R hole on transgo shift kit. Low/reverse hole. I had no check ball. So I put a 1/4 check ball there. Other thing I forgot to put the spring on the 4 land switch valve ..... So Take your time installing shift kit and it's a good thing to take a camera during process to remember what goes where!! I found my other problem for the clunk/grinding noise, I change the syncro keys kit on my np241dhd transfer case and the problem is in 2H when I,m driving when I take bump, decelareting and fast on throttle right after or just braking rapidly I here a clunk grinding noise like a gear! I have no drive shaft in front so I try in 4lo and 4hi . In 4x4 everything drive fine. I drive it 4hi lot more and nothing bad no sound . it's only in 2H that noise. I don't know what it could be. I don't want to remove the transfer case another time!! If someone had the same problem or help me with that for pin point the trouble . Thanks Francis

Hello Ed. What I'm talking is the throttle pressure screw on the valve body. The adjustment on the arm that push the throttle valve. The cable I can adjust it properly. I have one book that said you need tool to adjust it like throttle valve IN and space of 5/8 inch between valve and arm... Thanks again guys for the help!! Francis

Yeah John I was thinking of a valve body problem, For the TV cable it's all connected but I'm talking the throttle pressure screw on the valve body. I have a good slack on tv cable before I have little resistance when I move by hand. I made tool for adjusting the TV pressure with 5/8 inch . I need to flush my oil that's the bad thing ... Thanks guys I'll try to find out what's happen and tell you the final result! If I can't find . I,m gonna go to tranny shop if they can help me. Francis

Hello, I just finished rebuild my 47re on my 2001 dodge ram 4x4 cummins diesel. What I have done: I changed all the piston servo with billet aluminum ones. put a transgo diesel shift kit, alto red eagle clutches, changed front and rear bands. A new torque converter and changed the cooler lines. The transmission shift in all position but it's like slipping . When I'm starting from a stop when cold I need more throttle to move the truck and when it's warm it's less slipping. I put a gauge on line pressure and in drive not moving I see 80psi but when I go on throttle the psi doesnt increase? is it normal? I'm thinking of throttle pressure adjustment on the valve body??? For my other problem when it shifts 2-3 and downshift I heard a clunk noise . I'm thinking of front band adjustment . Now its set 1 7/8- 2 turns. Do I go to 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 ???. I have 4.2 lever ratio ... If someone can Help me with my problems Thank you Francis
