  1. 01 Cummins with 300k, I got a p1762 and a p1763 code. Replaced all solenoids internal on the transmission.(haven't touch the internal wiring yet) Ground is good, ran a jumper wire and by passed the pcm, made no change, 5volt line on data says it's stuck at 4.98 but doesn't show any v coming out of the pcm to the transmission, all grounds check out with a it break out box. Pickup is stuck in 3rd year with 108 gov press psi at idle and gov pr duty cyc is at 1, when you press the od switch, it's saying pressed but it turns right back off on snap on scanner. I can see life data and I have ran all relay test I am think of. Pcm has 12v coming in, ECM does also. Batteries have a good load on them, alternator checks out also. My otc breakout box checks out, all grounds are good. I'm at a lost with this thing, I'm 99% sure it's the pcm, but how do I run a test on it or is there any way it is before I go throwing money at it. Sorry I haven't been on here for a long time! I quit putting money into my 01 haha TIA!

Okay need some clarification, so I watched the video for the fix on the bushing, I wouldn't say mine moves. 1/4 of a inch, but it moves pretty good and it clunks, safe to say it's probably that, Also have a different question, on the spring itself( going to try to post a video of mine) there is a bracket off the spring with a rod that goes down towards the tranny. Is that the shifting ROD?? Might be a stupid question, I'm going to guess it is ??
  4. Okay, so if this makes a difference, I have no steering wheel lock either. Just got in it to pull it into the shop, and no lock haha. Tearing into it now,
  5. If I disconnect the steering shaft in the engine bay itself, I won't mess up the clock spring right? ( Meaning not to turn it to far) and when you say bushing, are you meaning the joint in the column? Or is there another bushing I'm missing? I don't think it's the clock spring because my cruise control works and no airbag lights,
  6. So this problem has slowly been getting worse, Little run down, beginning of all this. so every time ya go to turn, it makes a squeaking noise, left or right doesn't matter. As time went on, it got a little worse, then when you started turning left, ( still makes the squeaking noise) the steering wheel would tight up, not alot but enough to notice in the wheel and got really annoying, it wouldnt tighten up turning right, normal as could be. Well now it's getting bad, if you go to turn left, it'll pop out of drive into neutral, go to turn right it, it wants to pop out of drive and has, also the gear indicator has been funky, When you go to put into park, the indicator stays on drive, or 1st gear, the indicator in neutral. Wants to stick. Couple things I'm thinking it could be, Bad clock spring, Steering column ujoint bad? But that doesn't explain why it would pop out of gear. Cable linkage out of whack? Bad steering column in general. Now I haven't torn into anything yet, but it's going to be my weekend project, just need to know what I should be looking for/checking. It's to the point now where it's almost to bad to drive. Thanks in advance!!
  7. I must of got confused then, you sent me the windows 10 link ha, guess that's what I get for not reading everything I'm going to try it this weekend then. I'll have to re look at it, but I have also been battleing a timing issue with mine. Is does not like the timing at 8 and The stretch at 1800 I have to be at least 1950 or 2000 to have a good pull. If I drop my timing, I can go down on my fuel stretch
  8. Are you meaning with the new v2 flash? I haven't had a chance to plug the quad in at all, the laptop that I have doesnt have 10 on it, got to buy a new one, I'm still running the old version. That makes sense if that's it..... never thought about that

I'm getting a little toasty on a 6 second pull,this is the highest boost and EGT I have ever hit yet. but here is my issue now, all my safety nets are down, and it's still wanting to back me down, I'm waiting to get a laptop that has windows 10 on it so I can do the new flashing, but the backdown doesn't make sense to me, seems like 40% is a lot to me, maybe it's for good reason cause I don't have studs yet, but something funky is happening,

  15. Nick, have you checked your caireer bearing or yokes on your driveline? I just replaced my bearing but I don't think the drivelines have ever been changed

I have not checked that, ill try looking at it this weekend, i did notice when i had my tranny rebuilt by a local shop it did it alot more.. it feels like it comes from the front end most of the time,but then i get it where my right foot and tranny housing is. i have checked everything on that side, the only thing that i haven't check is the wiring housing under the driver door/quarter panel , i know that sits kinda in a cubby but i would see it moving that much, i need to check my brake lines, tranny cooler lines the coil springs keep coming to mind everytime i think about it. i have checked all my cab mounts, everything turns up tight and no cracks that i can visually see.
  17. Nick, mine also does the same thing going down the highway, doesn't matter if it's 10mph or 70. Every little bump or load of the shocks/springs I get the clatter and thunking on the floor board, I have also done most of what you have stated above, balls joins, redhead steering, tires, pretty much all new front end rebuild from Les Shawb, I remember it did it before the rebuild also. I don't get it when I'm loaded down though. I have searched and searched and searched more, and have came upwith nothing, my only thought is the coil springs? The one thing that I have never checked. Or my motor mounts
  18. haha, I already got a new one ( just the metal itself so I can do a custom one ) coming from a local tranny shop here,i wanted to put a pipe over them like you were thinking, i didnt have anytools to do what i wanted, no grinder torch nothing, just a simple wire fed licon with 110 and no gas, had to make do with what i had to get me home where i can do what i need, the new one is going on this weekend im fixing some else's hack job, its been done once for some reason. my bet with my buddy is it was going to snap on my way home
  19. Seeing how I cant find hardly any answer on these things,other then there garbage. I need to know some things with it. I dont mind mine,( half the time when im not hauling) seems like it pulls great with a new clutch in it, I figured out it doesn't like to speed shift at all, which really sucks hauling a trailer around town on hills, Here is some of my downfalls with this one in my 92, when i bought it the guy said the sycro was going out in 3rd and 4th, when i test drove it... 3rd was bad had to float into it, but 4th wasn't, but the tranny feels really tight and strong, i dont think its getting worse, but it is definitely annoying! He included another getrag with it when i bought it, said its a perfect tranny,( came out of another 92 he said, but the guy couldn't use it because he was putting down some serious HP is what this gentlemen told me) what should i do before i swap it in? I already got told to feel the scryos in that one, is there anything else i can do to help it out while i have it apart? Beef it up a little, im by no means a tranny guru, so if its not really bad or hard to do, How much gear noise is suppose to be there>? i have asked around about this..some have said a little.... the one thing that i have found odd is when i push the gear shift over towards 5th, i have really reall bad gear noise, almost sounds like its hitting the bell housing, It will some times do it when im sitting at a light and idling, or after long drives. it doesn't bog down the engine at all, ill watch the rpms and they stay steady, Here is a blonde question, i couldn't find this answer, so im asking it here, can i pull in 5th gear with a trailer on? the gentlemen that i bought it from says he does it all the time, because it has 4:10 gears, i have yet to do this because im worried about the output shaft and the input shaft, i have heard and read that there not the strongest by no means, to me 5th was still a overdrive gear like a nv4500.but he said he did it all the time To top it all off today, i snapped my gearshift. how i did it is beyond me, other then i think it has been done before, and someone else welded it to a bolt. which i broke the bolt!! the icing on the cake. i was going up a steep *** hill, when to turn around, put into reverse and snapped it. like oh F****, now what. took the cover and rubber peices off, finally kicked it out of gear so i could let the clucth out after holding it down for 10 mins with the brake so i did kill it or kill me going to the back side of the wrong way hill!!! Dont mind my weld porn, it was just 110 wire fed with no gas!! what a B****...... first time for everything haha
  20. i have natta lol, clean and dry as a whistle! (fuel lines anyway haha) i am half tempted to throw the old stock lift pump on with the orignal fuel and banjo bolts and see if that makes a diffrenece, or swapping out my raptor, i have another one from a buddy when he sold his pickup. when did you buy yours? before they cam out with the different design?
  21. Yes. i bought it as the big line kit. i didnt do any modifying to the long hose. just hooked it up and zip tied the hose to make sure it wouldn't rub anything when vibrating
  22. I do have the raptor Mike, I remember you telling me to put grease on the inside of the quick connects because of how much my fuel psi will drop. I did try it, and it didn't seem to have any affect on it. Or any affect on surging. I'm tearing into it all again this weekend, and using the 12 valve fir a DD for awhile

  24. so let me begin with this, this all started when i decided to install some DAP 75hp injectors, ( im pretty sure anyway) so awhile back, i posted something about my fuel filter canister leaking which was creating a fuel/air leak, i would surge at first startup. I replaced the canister, all seemed good since then, but i haven't really drove it that much since replacing it, ( I also after i installed the injectors the first time( wrong, i did it backwards and realized it after i got done talking to Mike,) went back through a second time and checked all the o-rings on the injectors, o-rings and crossover tubs, all checked out. still did the same thing after i put it all back together. so then i dug into all fuel lines, From the raptor pump up to the injectors, one was slightly lose but nothing bad!! i was thinking yes!!! and then again no!! same thing, surge after startup.) so from then to now, this is where i am at. I just got back from my honeymoon last night, about 1 in the morning, tired, cold and grumpy, i left my diesel at my wife's parents house so they could watch it. we were gone for 12 days!!! I go to start it up after we get to it, nothing....... just cranks..... you have to be f******** kiding me! 1am in the freaking morning!!! with rain!!! Fuel PSI 18* everything checks out, crack the injectors line...... wait a little while..... sputters up.... closed the lines and is all good now...... So where the hell could i be getting air from?? the only things that leads me to believe that could be wrong is the injectors?? or the raptor pump?? im lost in my own ideas because i have been through everything x3 now and still cant figure it out! should i send the injectors back to DAP to get the, checked out??   25. Just a update, I have sent the crappy one back, since then i cant get ahold of him or any of his little minions. needless to say. im stayin clear of BCD. all though i will keep bugging him for a answer. one of these days. he has to talk!!
