Quadzilla Adrenaline Economy and MPG
Mike, I figured out the same thing but its harder to pinpoint this with 7x.010 injectors. I'm down to tuning the cruise timing in .25* increments to get it right. can anyone post a video of injector rattle on a 24Valve?

Could be a VP issue, I looked at a 2nd gen with a similar miss at 2000 rpms

Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
@Me78569 @Mopar1973Man @TFaoro Quick question, don't want to start a new thread, I put 6 qts. of Mopar GL-4 in my NV4500, it was low, shifting weird I think the guy who rebuilt/owned before me used the wrong oil. Basically I pumped in 6 qts through the top PTO bolt hole which is about 1/2" higher than the fill port. Thoughts?

@Alexio Auditore If you buy a new quad with I quad, you will need to flash the V2 software yourself. The new quads all have V2 capability, you just have to follow @Me78569's Instructions and load the new app and firmware to the quad.

Quadzilla V2 Custom Tunes
@Me78569 I need to get serious and get to the track with a go pro and boost gauge in view, I think there are a few scales that need tweaking, but from what I can see, under 0 load conditions IE Neutral, X amount of fuel + Timing = Y Rpm, so regardless of injector size, the ECM will pull fuel message to keep the rpm where desired. With that logic, it makes sense that in highway conditions, Injector size A will flow Xy amount of fuel to maintain RPM, and Injector size B will also flow Xy amount of fuel to maintain RPM, the only difference will be in the fuel message from the ECM. Basically, what I did on the highway tune was think that injector size A or B will flow Xy fuel for Y RPM, so I compensated the atomization time to burn with 5* of timing. Seems to work pretty well and I was able to log 23.8 MPG with that tune in spring conditions. With larger injectors I would probably run the cruise timing even higher, but after testing from 0-6*, 5* seemed to run best at 100% Canbus fuel.

The highway tune is smokier in city driving, but is completely clean on PL 2 on the highway. See the PDF's for my tunes, I am running 5* cruise timing on the highway tune to get the fuel to burn. Quad Tune Calculator.pdf @Me78569

I had a similar miss when I got the truck out of the shop, only at idle, never under power. I bled the lines 3-4 times and it ended up going away. at first I thought it was trapped air, but now I more or less believe it was a VP issue. Hasn't acted up since, but was a bad miss when it happened

Nice, and you don't have to deal with the dually crap!

Yeah if only I could get that all the time! South florida has no hills so its a little easier I guess. @Me78569 what are you getting on the highway? I bet the VGT turbo helps.

Quadzilla Adrenaline Economy and MPG
truck stop to truck stop on I-75, over two weeks. One day I drove 48 Miles to work on 1.94 Gallons of fuel. But it was 10PM and I didn't have to slow down at all. The big injectors don't like a ton of timing if you pull fuel %. my smokeless tune for city driving is crappy on mileage because the starting canbus % is 83% and it dogs hard on the Load and TPS Pretty much I am driving 600 - 650 miles between 31 gallon fill ups on the regular, as long as I keep my foot out of it.

And officially averaging 23.82 MPG in south florida, Highway tune Cruise timing 2* Canbus fuel starting % 100% up to 10PSI Average cruise timing = 18.50 - 19.50* depending on speed. Typically cruising at 70 MPH Also, only running PL2 on these trips and cruising flat turn pike or I-75 at 4psi boost

@Me78569 and @TFaoro What's up guys, I love the 2.2 tuning, I just wish the App was easier to use. I have a friend with a built 2002 automatic, running a quad 4k box. He's running 7x14 injectors with a 188/220 cam, and S366/S475 crazy carls compounds. I am trying to get him on the forum here. Can his 4k box run the hard fuel v2.2 tuning? @TFaoro, what kind of tune are you running for daily and race? Also a couple observations I made with the new tuning: Big injectors do not automatically determine the back down in canbus fuel, I say this because my DD tune I start my canbus % at 82% and cruise timing is only 1* but recently I have been running a highway tune which the canbus % starts at 100%, but the timing is 4*. What I discovered is that because of injector size, timing is very important for the smoke control. The fuel needs more time to atomize and light off. also when reducing % of canbus fuel, the truck will respond better to less timing since we are bringing the fueling closer to stock. So far I get no smoke dding and almost none when I pass people on the highway. I seem to be averaging 22-24 mpg combined on my commutes.

Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
Hey everybody, re torqued my studs today, re lashed me some valves, and turned up the quad with some impressive results. 4th gear broke the tires loose at 50 psi boost. Quad was only on level 4 (out of 7) so 33% wire tap. Holy crap!!! Pictures are of the work that had to be done, now I have O-ringed head, New valves, hardened seats, and 100# valve springs. Hoping to do some tuning on the turn pike tomorrow, its my 28th birthday and I am going to go ride jet ski's at key largo. I love the new features, I just need to get my can bus fueling figured out before I start dicking with the new timing features too much. Quad data 02.22.17.pdf

I velcroed a cheap android tabled to my sunvisor and routed a 10' charging cable to it lol. I flip it down to screw with on the fly and it keeps my gauges in eye view. works nicely, I need to post pictures

@Me78569 @TFaoro Whats up guys! I finally have my truck back and I just finished loading the standard fuel V2.2 Tune. Quick question: Which vehicle selection should I use now? Currently I am using the V2Dodge1998-2000 Ver 2.2. Can't wait to get back to the testing!!

Bad Day, Blown head gasket
@CSM yeah stock valve springs, but boost was limited to 45 psi. the quad logged a max of 37 PSI when the gasket blew. Keep in mind I already drove the truck three days before this happened. I am pretty sure at this point that it was just bad luck and doing the studs with a stock head gasket was a bad idea. I am going to have a shop near my work (that's where I parked the truck) pull the head and see what I got to work with. If the head passes NDT, I might rework it. Anyone have recommendations on head mods that are a good idea while it is off? I am already going to replace the pushrods, valve springs, guides, seals, and put rocker studs in. anyone have opinions on best head gasket for the 24 valve? I want to turn 60PSI when this is done. I was thinking fire rings but research shows mixed opinions up to 70 psi. From what I hear good gasket/studs/springs should hold up up to 70psi (weekend warrior) @TFaoro @Me78569 @CSM, Head is off and out to machine shop. Looks like a bad head surface and over-torqued rocker bolt is the root cause. I guess the previous owner running 1500+ EGT's warped the head. LOL there went 2 grand. New mods coming: Fire rings 60Lb Hamilton Valve springs and upgraded push rods 3 piece exhaust manifold Water Meth. (February)

Just catching up on the thread, I love it. It sucks we cant override the Idle fueling to set a custom Idle RPM.
