  1. In their software it shows em as 0-100. I can get a screenshot for u sometime. I may say on the sensor too. I know I have an untouched fuel one in the living room, but I wouldn't expect that to be 0-100 but will look tmrw
  2. ya, this forum is really good, but so many guys throw their opinions around like they are fact. so its important to be able to discern fact from opinion. and questions that incite opinion over fact.
  3. I think its a matter of opinion, *** for tat, cleaner or more powerful. Its probably hard to draw a fine line in the sand without quality 6 & 7 hole injectors both tested in the same truck same day from the same builder. Especially when each injector will still spray slightly different amts of fuel, if you do the math on 6x0.13 and 7xwhatever it was
  4. they are overpriced, thats for sure. I was on amazon looking at pressure sensors that took the same style plug, same reference voltage (5v maybe) if I recall correctly. I think they were in the range of $15-$25. A reviewer said it worked with the edge for awhile. Made me wonder if the system logged it & they caught it on the back end when he plugged his tuner into the computer for an update one day. They caught a different serial number or whatever and banned it, persay. No one had ever written tunes /w sub fueling (I assume by that you mean lower than stock values), or no one had ever released a tuner to allow the user to do so?
  5. hmmm.. good reason to keep the edge I suppose, so I can atleast peek at those pressures when I have big injectors, instead of not knowing. I'll just have to swap tuners. If you could also enable me to use the edge's sensors, hardwired if I had to, that would be great. Ie. not lock us down on only proprietary sensors. Thanks for the helpful information ^^
  6. That's so cool. U said this less than 100% fueling mapping was only available as of recent with the v2? I need to sell the edge already. Any chance I can use the edge sensors to still monitor drive and intermediate boost pressure?
  7. Haha. I could swing up there but its probably not the best way to spend my leave. Tempting tho. 6x.018 sounds like it would straight flood . I would throw my 120's in "real quick" but getting them to seal up at the manifold has been a real pain in the .... In the past. Seemed like Russian roulette in terms of getting them to seal. I would oil everything up, I took scotch bright or steel wool to the end of the injector lines. I think fuel pooling up there is what made my billet intake manifold leak boost, which was a bear to clean up and redo . I was thinking hard about the big 6x.013's and such, and am afraid I'll always have the edge on 0 or 1 with no way to turn it down. I guess that's why I gotta get the quadzilla. Also I'm gonna go with Infinite Performance . I emailed em thru the form on their site but haven't heard back. I'll call one day when I'm Rdy to pull the trigger. I'm definitely Rdy to feel the meat under the curve. Once I get past this move and get paid for it n such I can see where finances are sitting. The s475 I got from crazy Carl leaked oil out the comp wheel, so I ended up buying another from Pusher. Things like that and the new VP and ddp's all hurt the bank account even more.
  8. Ya I'm giving you mods/admins a lot of work to delete all the junk I've spammed thru his thread. I'll checkout that area n see what you've posted. I have never been in that part of the site yet. (besides a few articles you put up)
  9. For the amount of money I have invested in this thing, I am ready to turn some serious HP. When I say serious remember I bought a VP :haha: big mistake, rookie move, but eh the truck was $7k and thats what got me in it... I bought it to use it, and it is FAR from a perfect show truck. So lets burn it down :D haha. No but seriously, Im down to make the power, I can put these 50hp injectors back in when I have to move and tow across the country again. I just cant be rolling coal everywhere, thats not cool and I'll get ticketed. Me -- the lack of smoke is insane you have there. My edge probably smokes more at 50% throttle with my current injectors. You post your tunes on here for download too, right? Im 99% sure you have, but havnt gone thru the whole repository. I looked up your injector size and DAP says 275hp. Holy cow. How in the world does that not flood your small turbo? All in the tuning I assume? Lots of below base like fueling until things are spooled up? Those injectors seem mindboggling big, for a DD that tows non the less.
  10. Ya, the DDP 120's liteing the turbos was my first experience with them being "lit". I am going down to sea level, and definitely am at a crossroads as to if I put 150s in, or use TFaoro's tuning (perhaps tweaked to my application) with some 200s or 220s. So do I go 6x0.013 (200-220hp equiv, Im thinking 6 hole, because the truck already seems to haze half the time anyway) or 7x0.010 ("150hp equavalent", I understand this hp rating doesnt really stand for anything). I'll still want to tow my 28' trailer with bikes in it to the dirt bike track when I can. Its an aluminum trailer though.. 3300lbs dry. It seems like the quadzilla can tame the smokiness with the less than baseline fueling capability.
  11. Yeah sorry, I didnt know how to write that without it coming off as d!ck. I agree /w the jist of what your saying, and understand that velocity increases as diameter decreases and so on. Also I searched pureflow fp-125 and just came back with that as being a standard AD lift pump?
  12. Not to get into semantics, but I have a digital gauge and an analog gauge on both ends of the hose. They are 1psi apart. I think that kinda speaks for itself (?)
  13. the pump has no fittings, its got two o-rings and a flush bottom that falls onto the base. Oh, and two locating dowels. Can I get any educated and uneducated opinions on my VP holding say 30psi at idle forever more w/o seal failure, if its held 40psi in the past for perhaps 4-5 hours of operation?
  14. Can you fill us in on what pump is the good'n? Something I could ideally buy and drop on top. Very fustraiting to spend that money and have a junk product..... seems like this industry is absolutely rife with em. No limit, I had the digital gauge right before VP, the other one at the airdog.. plus I think hydraulics 101 says it will have the same pressure on both ends of the hose. but its been a long time... I suppose, especially with my small injectors right now, I should be able to put the original pump on that never dropped in pressure, and see what happens. If the pump design is what went down the $1tt3r, then it should show. I could log current drops in pressure with tuner on 1, 3, 5, & 7; with each pump. Nominal & WOT.
  15. Got me absolutely no where. Called them a million times. They have no explanation.
  16. Well, its bad because Im running my VP above the pressure I should, and I dont even have real sticks in it right now. I can tell the pump is not a happy camper at 11-12 psi because it would shutter on level 7. I originally thought it was the programming, but it went away with my minimum lift pump supply being 15psi. Even with it higher now at 24-25psi idle, who knows what happens when I put those 120hp DDPs back in. I'll be at sea level, so my pressure will likely be a bit higher again, but still....... These same injectors, never dropped below 16-17psi here in town on my original motor (53 block that cracked) with the original AD100. I have yet to put that AD100 motor back on.
  17. For your lulz or ent Fuel pressure sensor setup WOT. It was not easy taking these photos. My boost should have been higher than 30, not sure what's going on here. Its possible I was snapping pics like a mad man just point and shooting, and boost hadnt topped out at this exact moment. Fuel pressure here tells me Im WOT. Fuel pressure at idle. This would be with the Airdog2 4G base, 165 4G motor, no spring mods, this is a spring and how it ran from them. Fuel tank just below 1/2 tank, no sump yet in these testing/documenting pics. Ya Im pretty much tracking with what you said @Me78569 ; I think thats accurate enough for government work. The description on the unit just says level 1 is stock, level 2 is 25% juice timing, 3 is 50%, 4 is 75%, and 5 is 100% juice timing. With the 50 or 75hp 8hole mystery injectors in now, the ones the truck came with when I bought it, (I think they are 50s), Im at 24-25idle dropping to 15-16 on level 7 jwa comp. Not very good. It only hits 15psi for a brief moment or two, it primarily is at 16psi at WOT.
  18. Yeah AD made me put a mechanical gauge on it to get the AD200 motor. It was a $25 gauge from the local hydraulic shop. I have tons of pics and videos of it, altho they didnt request to look at them. I thought I'd get a whole new unit sent out, but they just sent a 200 motor and said keep the 165 motor. They even had me put the 4G 200 motor on the original AD100 base that's not adjustable. Its still on there now. The fittings have larger ID's as well. Its also worth mentioning I had the original AD100 wiring harness in use when I first installed the AD165. Tried new filters, installed the brand new harness, tried the 200 motor, etc. All I can think of is the 2 prong cummins harness connector/connection isnt increasing the voltage of the pump as I stomp it, to make pressure not drop, if it even is meant to do that at all. I know they've thrown around some words like "on demand pump".
  19. I dont have a readout of the live timing; I see you are saying its dynamic based on throttle position and so fourth. I didnt know that, but it doesnt surprise me in the least. I quantify that my timing is greater by running the edge jwa comp tuner /w timing on 3,4, and 5 as a greater timing setting than with it set to 2.
  20. Interesting, Ill take the programmer off the truck and see if it drives any different. I've done that in the past though, troubleshooting a hard start condition, and it made no difference. I wasnt running it through *all* the gears then, though. I dont think the Edge has a lot of tune-ability; it sounds like I really need to get the Quad. Looks like the guys here have done some real impressive stuff with the custom tuning to annihilate smoke pretty well. My VP pressure if its 25psi at idle, will be 22-23 whilst driving, and still 15-16 at WOT. I dont know why it drops so badly, I've done from the 4G 165 motor to the 4G 200, installed a sump, 1/2" line no restrictions, make sure tank is vented, tried a brand new VP, tried different lines, everything I can think of. I run it at this high pressure because it enables the truck not to drop down to 10-12psi at WOT, which is even worse with bigger injectors, and because it enables me to run lvl7 without the truck shuttering. Ive had my VP at 40 psi for several hours previously, and it didnt blow the seal, on this very VP, so Im gonna run my luck. Plus I have a spare brand new VP sitting here now, anyway. Because I kept my core I'll never get anywhere close to what I paid for it, so Im keeping it.. @me, Im running timing on 2, stock is 1. The lul I speak of only seems exasterbated at 3,4,5. Also I am running the "new" Edge JWA Comp, it came out maybe 12-18 months ago, something like that. https://edgeproducts.com/news/vp44-competition-juice-w-attitude/ 7 power levels, fueling up to 3600rpm. I chose it because the tech told me if I send in my old edge product (and to keep it) that I would get 40% off. Well turns out it was 40% off MSRP, not 40% off selling price on their site, so it wasnt the deal I thought it was going to be, but it is what it is.
  21. Ya, Im guessing the 12 will still give more power all under 2500rpm, where I drive 99% of the time DDing. But the 14 will make the heat more tolerable with big injectors when Im running it hard. Is that a fair assessment or not really? Im not sure it is, becuase ya the heat will be more tolerable with the 14cm and big injectors, but even when Im running it hard (WOT) its not for long on the street (3-5 sec). Im not doing 1/4 mile drag racing WOT for 10-15sec.
